Prologue (in English):

Once, In the Primordial Abode of Goloka, In the Esteemed Presence of Radha Devi

Lord Krishna, the Lord of Gods, the Supreme One, enacted a leela divine.

As a result of this leela, Radha, the Goddess, became both the giver and receiver of a Curse.

Even Sudama, the gopa friend of Lord Krishna, the giver of a curse, received another curse in return.

(Note: Shaapa means curse, Daa means one who gives, while Dhaa means one who bears. So Shaapadaa and Shaapadhaa have different meanings.)

Introduction:

I know this may be wierd. Starting the prologue and then starting the introduction. But the prologue happens millions of years before the events that will unfold. Well, at least by earthly standards. By Godly standards it happens just a second before, may be even less. But let us not delve into that.

This story is my version of the story of Lord Krishna's friend. I don't want to hurt anyone's emotions by this story. And I have combined two stories together. So please forgive my misgivings and read this story as an inspiration of Lord Krishna himself. (There. Disclaimer Over. 😛)

The story unfolds in the Nikunja of Chandravali, the foremost gopi among the opposition party of Vrindavana. Confusing? Okay. Simple explanation. There were so many hundreds of Gopis in Vrindavana who were followers of Krishna. Among them, there were two most devout followers. One of them was Devi Radha, who is Prakriti Herself. And the second Gopi is Chandravali, the Partial Expansion of Prakriti.

So Radha and Chandravali are always competing each other to be Krishna's love. Each gopi has eight Sakhis, and each of those eight have another eight sakhis. And there are other gopikas also in both the teams. So you can see how much competition there was for getting Krishna.😆

So both these teams always rival each other for Krishna. And since Srila Prabhupada and ISKCON is a follower of Srimati Radharani, they decided to omit any references to Chandravali, except in places where she praises Radha. So I don't have much information for her. But something told me to start the story with Srimati Chandravali. So that is how my story begins.

Lord Krishna - Supreme Lord

Radharani - Supreme Goddess

Chandravali - Prakriti's Ansh

Lalita - Radha's friend, always takes Radha's side

Vishakha - Another friend of Radha's, always sides with Krishna

Padma - A friend of Chandravali, very intelligent

Madhavi - Chandravali's Sakhi, very shrewd girl, can use her tongue cleverly

Shaibya, Bhadra, Kamala, Vimala, Pushpalatika, Ratnalekha - The other sakhis of Chandravali

Shankhachooda - A Demon, Kubera's ally

Shouldn't it be Sridhama? Not Sudama

That is the popular version. IN some rare versions, it is Sudama who curses and gets cursed. Anyway, that is the crux of my story. I can't change THAT.😆

And Varaali, if you don't mind, can you edit your comment? I want to keep it suspese for those who don't know...
