Blog: Salman Khan is no God

December 27th. A great day in history. Why? Because a superstar was born today! An overnight star. Someone very love, caring, and most importantly, a man with a heart of gold. A man, who would be known as Abdul Salim Salman Khan. To the world, he's known as Salman Khan.
Why do I love Salman Khan? Not because he's famous and all the girls die for him. The reason I love him is because he's a great guy, who cares about the people he loves. His family and friends come first. How many times has he gone out of his way to save/help his friends? He has dedicated so much time and love to helping others. He has an image of a brat, a stuck-up star, but he isn't that. He is total opposite. He has a great sense of humor, he's a friend who stands by you when you need him the most. He will help you even if he doesn't really know you. Remember Aman Verma case? It was Salman who came out and supported him first.
Salman has stood by so many stars like Shilpa Shetty, Karishma Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Aman Verma, Shakti Kapoor, Sneha Ullal, Sushmita Sen, Karan Johar, Diya Mirza, and many more in their time of need. Not because he is out there to get publicity for himself, but because he cares. That's the kind of guy he is.
I personally think him a super guy who does not deserve the flak he gets, but that's the price you pay for being a public figure. A famous public figure. He is being used as an example simply because he is famous and in our society there is a lot of jealousy, burning, grudging and hatred for the rich and famous...who work their ass of to get where they are today. Salman has had to work hard to be where he is today. Each movie he's done, he's proved to be a better actor. He's very choosy about his films and prefers to work with friends. He doesn't do the movies just for the heck of it, he does them because he believes in the story. He believes in the director. I don't know many actors who would work for free in a film. He is a dedicated actor, who's misunderstood. He's misunderstood because he doesn't like to give interviews. He's the media's bad boy because they know he's an easy target. He will not talk back to the medi a.
He's who he is because he's a real deal. He doesn't take any BS from anyone, nor does he give it. If you don't like what you see, then it's your loss, not Salmans.
He's a cool dude, totally dependable and such a warm giving and affectionate person. He's a great Uncle to his nieces and nephews, a great son to his parents, a great brother to his brothers and sisters. He's a great friend. He's a great actor. I think he's just an awesome person.
There are so many more reasons that I love him, but not one of them is because he's a famous star. I love him for the person he is, not because he's famous.
I first fell in love with him when I watched Maine Pyaar Kiya, since then he's been my favorite person. He's someone I look upto. I can relate to so many things in his life. He's a great actor, who's proved over and over that nothing can bring him down. Even after Hum Saath Saath Hain, when he had no release, people thought he was done. He had spent time in jail. Everyone said his career was over. But he proved them all wrong. He came back with a Bang! Tere Naam came out....his come back film. He proved all those people wrong. Tere Naam was considered the best film of his career. His acting proved that he was not done. He still had it in him.
His career has since been rising up and up! He never looked back. He's given us hits after hits, and with each case against him, he's also got a film under him. He's proven over and over that if no one but he himself controls his life and his career.
Yes he's made mistakes, but who doesn't? Is he not a human? He's only a human who makes mistakes, and never looks back. He's not God. He isn't perfect, no one is. Even a super star like Amitabh Bachchan has seen a lot in his life, yet people consider him God. He's also a human who's made mistakes. So what? Move on. Give it up. Let him enjoy his life.
He is who he is and that's why I love him. He's the real deal. You either take it or leave it. You can hate him or you can love him, but you most definitely can't ignore him.
That's Salman Khan for you. He's a person who I love, a person who I adore, a person I look upto. A person who has a loyal fan in me. If I can even come close to be like him, I would think of it as gift from God. Salman Khan is someone who will forever have a place in my heart. He will forever be my first love. There is no other man who can even come close to Salman. There was, is and will always be only one Salman Khan.
Many happy returns of the day to the man himself. I hope he gets everything he wishes and asks for. I pray for him, and hope that he will get everything he asks for in life, and much more. I hope he continues to be himself, and never changes for anyone. I hope he continues to entertain all of us, and give us something to look forward to every year.
