Hatred toward Navneet is what increases TRP

The basic problem with MC rests in the format of the show and the approach of the judges. This season drama and emotional atyaachar has been promoted more than the actual skill level of cooking. The cooking rounds and competitions were all average and while some were great, they could have come up with much better concepts for their rounds. I would actually advise them to take some inspiration from American cooking shows. And just on a personal note - I have not enjoyed the Shipra's surprises on Saturday - most of them have been lame and silly. Some were nice but this should be changed better. I would love to see another season of MC with DIFFERENT judges ( I actually think Akshay was one of the better hosts and Chef Ajay) and BETTER contestants. I know its not easy to find contestants but there are some GREAT culinary skills out there and MC should be on the hunt for them.

Chef Vikaas has been given very little importance this season and I'm not sure why. He is a great chef and I wish he was given more screen space.

Chef Kunal and Sanjeev Kapoor need to go. I'm very disappointed in how they have handled this season. There has been open favortism and the level of competition has been unfairly assigned.

For example why were Nisha and Navneet given a silly task of identifying ingredients?? They should have at least included a cooking round in that competition as well - but it seems open favoritism to get Navneet to the finals - because as much as we all hate Navneet - StarPlus is probably garnering MUCH more TRP with him still in the competition because they know more people will tune into to watch to make sure he is defeated.

Nisha Ji - As much as Nisha Ji may seem irritating with her slight overconfidence and attitude - she definitely at least deserves to be in MC as no one can deny that she has some great cooking skills and experience.

Ripu - I wasn't sure what opinion to hold of him initially but every episode he pleasantly surprises me in how he pulls things off quite nicely and works hard and tries variation. Plus he is easy on the eyes and has a charming personality which is also VERY important because being a MasterChef means you become a public personality so it's important to have charisma along with the skill which is where Nisha Ji lacks... Ripu comes across as the whole package. He should def indulge in some more training and he can really go places!

Naveneet - I know everyone is bashing him and I am so in accordance with that. However this guy definitely has some raw skill. His problem is he's way too overconfident, careless, and is just a mess of a person - so he has NO qualities to probe him to be a MC. The fact that he doesn't cut his cauliflower properly is ridiculous. Ripu while generous, was an idiot for giving it to him. However even worse are the judges who don't deem it fit to not allow this? What is the point of closing the pantry then if people are allowed to borrow each others stuff?

Navneet - He is riding on overconfidence and when the final competition round comes around - he WILL make a mistake - and this overconfidence will lead to his downfall.

Doyal - I admire her bubbly personality and she does have some skill in making chutneys and such things. But she is WAY too average of a cook to be allowed at this stage of MasterChef. And also her behavior when Ranveer came was ridiculous - prancing around like a fool. Shows how she has no sense of propriety or class - so not someone you associate as a MC. And again shame on the judges for allowing this kind of behavior where a contestant is openly saying that they are cheating off fellow contestants and they stand by and do nothing.

All in all - this season has had lots of mistakes. Fundamentally the whole approach to the competition has been wrong from the start. MC needs to focus on the actual COOKING and deserving candidates rather than emotional drama. This is not the average reality show where public votes get taken into account. Here the decision rests SOLELY on the judges and so only the SKILL should count.
