And noticed that Asad and Maulvi Saheb were sitting right there, why didn't she just turn and go back into her room to change? It's so silly that she chose to stand there and hide behind the pillar, and then after that take the effort to scramble to the kitchen and hide behind the chair. Her room was much closer and also a much safer option if she was really that scared to appear in front of Asad in a skirt.

Yeah I get that they wanted Asad to catch her in the skirt, but the premise was kinda lame...

i was discussing the same thing with my mum.fine they wanted the whole asad-zoya scene but they could have brought zoya infront of asad in a better way.
