Cricker Srikkanth on the Jhalak pitch

This year, Jhalak has one of the most interesting line ups ever. From a movie star to several TV actors, from a Bollywood singer to an international dancer, Jhalak this year has seen it all. Or has it? The coming week will see cricket fever in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa as Krishnamachari Srikkanth, known popularly as Kris Srikkanth, will be seen joining as the 13th contestant.

At the end of the second episode, the judges announced that there would be a surprise for the contestants as a 12th contestant would be joining them. And though the ball and gloves that the jury threw at Manish were a mystery for the celebrities, the curtains have now been raised, and we can tell you that the cricket veteran is very much a part of the Jhalak team.

Kris Srikkanth, who was part of the 1983 World Cup winning team, captained the Indian national team and has also been the chairman of the selection committee. Currently, Srikkanth is famous as a cricket commentator and panelist. Known for his flamboyant style and straightforward way of speaking; now Srikkanth will be seen trying to match steps with his choreographer on the Jhalak stage.

Srikkanth, who has no prior experience with dance, has started rehearsing, and will be seen making an entry in the second week of Jhalak. If his dancing skills are a threat for the others, or if he struggles with the intricacies of all the dance forms, remains to be seen.
