Its not at all long indi, perhaps one just feels it becos of those profuse unsaid emotions! Touching analysis, all underlined bang on. One can really feel hearts bleeding with his hand cut, the subtext was very much evident, wonder why La could never see that, or even plainly ignores what ever she does.Ofcourse after all that Diwali undoing, he expects HER to come out and confess at least her pain (of sagai) if not love. In the meanwhile, from "ASR ko kisi ladki se koi farq nahin padtha" he DID confess to "ofcourse farq padtha hai." altho couldn't say "Kyun ki" aptly captured by the two pics you posted,Khushi's pain in these episodes was unbearable, as she is visibly bearing his one too! You are so right about Payash's simultaneous scenes depicting the underlying subtext of Arshi, how Akash being the normal guy he is, seeks the girl he feels for, where as, how ASR's love is so very complex.I have always thought, what we call as classic movies at least in BW, have perhaps 1/2 of the kind of intense encounters these two have every now and then. Was watching Anupama Chopra (film critic) with the new movie "Yeh jawani hai Diwani" team over the weekend , and Ranbir kapoor emphasized on the importance of good actors being "intelligent", took me back to a comment LM made on both Barun and Sanaya to be very "intelligent actors", rightly so!Loved the read indi as always.
thanks, horizon for your comments on 125. you bring up a key issue of performance. both actors are indeed sharp and intelligent, as are many of the others. makes all the difference. that subtext is impossible if you don't understand and internalise the whole character and its story, teh allow your insides to feel the terrain, elucidate organically... not acting, just being that character... somehow when looking at barun most times and many times at sanaya i used to get the feling they have left themselves somewhere else and become asr and khsuhi. shades of this with anjali, akash, payal, jayashree t, mamiji, buaji, babuji... sometimes even shyam.
