Sorry about bringing up the skirt again but I simply could not refrain myself from making this thread because I do not understand.

Someone explain it to me before I go crazy because I simply do not get it. What in the heavens name is the big deal with the damn skirt? It's a skirt. Everyone is acting as if she is wearing a thong or going nude. I see girls wearing dresses shorter than that skirt so are they all scanty women? Do these girls have no self respect. It's being implied and some have said it straight up on the forum that such women are cheap. 😲 Because of a mini skirt. 😲 What in the heavens name is going on. 🤪

Have I entered in another century suddenly?

Now I will eagerly wait for someone's brilliant reply so that I can finally understand.

Here goes nothing. I am going to prevent myself from saying anything that could be considered arbitrary but here are a few things that people have pointed out:
1) The skirt is highly unfashionable.
2) The length is inappropriate for national television, especially when the slit is taken into account.
3) The Religion Card: In Islam, there are certain levels of sins, and exposing any skin above the ankle is strictly haraam.
4) Inconsistency with Zoya's character as it was portrayed thus far.
5) The impropriety of the situation considering that Zoya knew that she is a guest in the house (not married yet) & the host has made his views about proper attire clear.
6) The appropriateness of the skirt with regards to the setting & situation.

Well that explains it. I may not agree with most of it but still. Thanks for the explanation. Couldnt understand the pages and pages dedicated to this discussion because to me it seemed like a no-brainer. May not agree with the other side, but I do understand it.
