What does it mean to be a struggling learner or slow learner?

A "slow learner" is not a diagnostic category, it is a term people use to describe a student who has the ability to learn necessary academic skills, but at rate and depth below average.

Our asad is also a slow learner. He has the ability to confess his love, he has the ability to chase billi out of his house, but everything he will do at below average(late). Always he needs someone to push him to the situation or explains him abt the situation. For confessing his love he needs dilshad, for knwing abt zoya's past and pain he needs aapi and for knwing abt tanveer's bad intentions he needs zoya.

Slow learner(SL) : In order to grasp new concepts, a slow learner needs more time, more repetition,

What are some of the challenges educationally for struggling or slow learners?

SL: Typically, a slow learner has difficulty with higher order thinking or reasoning skills.

AAK: Even asad has difficulty with higher order thinking skills (hots). If he has good hots then he would have found out tanveer's true intentions by the time.

SL: This suggests that it will be more challenging to learn new concepts. New skills need to be based upon already mastered concepts.

AAK: Coz of lack of hots confessing his love and romantically indulging with zoe is more challenging for him. Coz after confessing his love only he can indulge in romantic activities.

SL: This can be difficult when the majority of the class has already mastered a concept and is moving on, while the slow learner needs more time.

AAK: This is difficult for asad coz zoya wants her life to be so romantic, while asad needs more time for it.

SL: This can lead to gaps in knowledge and basic skills. The more gaps in a content area, the more challenging it is for anyone to learn new concepts.

AAK: This can lead to gaps between asad and zoya. The more gaps between them the more challenging for him to to learn new concepts (romantic activities)

SL: It's also important to recognize that these students are typically keenly aware they are struggling and self confidence can be an issue.

AAK: It's also imp for dilshad and zoya to recognize tht asad is struggling and has low self condidence (only in confessing his love)

SL: They are prone to anxiety, low self image, and eventually may be quick to give up.

AAK: Asad is also prone to anxiety, low self image (mirroring rashid's betrayal on him) and even he want to give up his love. He also often feel stupid (every time after hurting zoe)

If these students struggle so much, why do are they often not eligible for Special Education?

SL: Special Education services are provided for students who have a disability. Slow learners typically do not have a disability, even though they need extra support.

AAK: In our asad case also it's not like tht he cannot do it. He can do everything😉 but needs extra support.

SL: Slow learners tend to perform at their ability level, which is below average.

AAK: Asad tends to perform at his ability level, i.e below average.

SL: To the disappointment of many, slow learners often do not receive special education services.

AAK: To the disappointment of viewers, asad is not getting any special services (ie no mentor is there for him to pass his love letter or his love message to zoya)

SL: Although a student does not receive special education services, a student will require additional help, support, and accommodations through regular education!!

AAK: Although asad not getting special services, dilshad is there to provide him with her support and suggestions (how to confess)

What are some classroom recommendations?

SL: Repetition, repetition, repetition. You might feel like you are saying the same thing over and over, but it helps make a concept more concrete.

AAK: Repetition, repetition, repetition. We r feeling everytime asad confess,he is saying the same thing over and over, but it helps him to make the confession more wonderful.😛

SL: Encourage other activities in which the child can experience success and keep them connected.

AAK: Dilshad can encourage asad to watch more romantic films so tht he can get ideas how to be more romantic.😆

SL: Tutoring- This helps fill in gaps in basic skills.

AAK: Asad can hire a love guru who can help him to fill the gap between asad and zoya.👍🏼

SL: Teach study skills to help a student become more efficient in studying

AAK: The love guru can teach him romantic skills to help him become more efficient and more powerful.😳

SL: Teach the most important concepts and leave out some of the less important details.

AAK: Teach him most important concepts i.e how to be more intimate with zoya☺️ and leave out less important i.e how to take care of tanveer.🤢

SL:Peer tutoring

AAK: This can be give by aayan (how to flirt)😆
