Down-to-earth: Bosco
Not too long ago, choreographer-turned-singer Ganesh Hegde was thrown out of the Rockstars tour by Salman Khan and replaced by Bosco-Caesar. In a candid chat, Bosco tells us why Hegde was shunted out.

After Ganesh was shown the door, did you try to sort things out with him?
There is nothing to sort out with Ganesh. We don't have to justify ourselves to him as we are on par with him. Ganesh had a monopoly on shows for a long time. But this time, the organisers (the Morani brothers) were very happy with us.

Why did Salman replace Ganesh with you?
Ganesh must have made unreasonable demands and that's why he was thrown out. If Salman thinks you are genuine, he likes you. But if you think you are too big for your profession, like Ganesh started doing, then Salman won't like it. You are a choreographer and not a star. There is a hierarchy here that you cannot cross over. He always behaves like a star!

There was some issue about money paid to the dancers during the tour.
Money was never an issue. Salman and the stars were kind enough to give the dancers an allowance. Some stars like Hrithik (Roshan) have even gifted CD players to the entire team of dancers (16 girls and boys) who accompanied him on his Heartthrob tour. All the stars see how tough life is for the dancers. They have to keep dancing for nearly three hours and change clothes in 30 seconds. Some dancers fall while others hurt their ankles, but they still have to finish the tour. Shows are killers for dancers!

Did John Abraham and Salman fell out over the money paid to dancers?
I don't know why things went wrong between them, but it wasn't the money.

Tell us about your upcoming releases.
There's Nikhil Advani's Salaam-E-Ishq, Sunil Darshan's Shakalaka Boom Boom and David Dhawan's Partner. Rohan Sippy had liked our work in Bluffmaster and recommended our name to Nikhil. The title took us six months to shoot with so many stars all over London, Goa, Panvel and Hyderabad.

Didn't Caesar and you spilt up a month ago?
Caesar and I had differences initially and so we decided to separate. But then we came together to choreograph the GIFA awards and Salaam-E-Ishq. Caesar was upset with me as he was feeling neglected. He felt I wasn't being supportive enough. But things are fine now. Ours was a temporary separation.
