These two chapters, 24 & 25 had separate and distinct roles, and each of them has worked, neatly and smoothly.
Chapter 24 was for opening a few cards, between Arjun/Aryan and Sakshi, between Arjun and his Baba.
Not too many cards, of course, but enough to provide a tantalizing glimpse of the past and to hint at the future. Aryan Varma is being treated for something serious and the second part of the treatment is to start soon .Is it plastic surgery to restore his former appearance, or is it for internal injuries? Whatever it is, he is not yet ready to face the world, especially the world of the ETF, and says he needs more time. It is thus likely that the factor that makes him decide to stay undercover is related to his appearance after being involved in the explosion. It must be something so horrifying that he is convinced Aisha will not be able to take it. Why else would he shut out such a beloved and, more important, unbelievably loving wife?
I wonder how Aisha will react when she eventually finds out that her Arjun, the be all and end all of her life, has hidden from her the fact that he is still alive, and has thus made her suffer all the agonies of an emotional hell for two long years. She might not be able to forgive him easily, not so much for making her suffer needlessly, but rather for doubting the strength of her love and her resilience in the face of even such a calamity.
Aman manages to dispel the tensions and the awkwardness that was affecting Aisha's interactions with him. He is a very mature and perceptive individual, witness the way he wins over the initially almost hostile Shree, so this was only to be expected.
Chapter 25, though ostensibly concerned largely with the kidnapping and murder case, has a lot of what can only be called all purpose masala.
There is Sakshi impressing the ETF team with borrowed feathers; what would Rathod and the rest say if they knew who Sakshi's star informer was?
There is re-emergence of Aisha's raw anguish, stirred up by memories of the 3 year old child trafficking case, and even more so by the sudden sight of Ravi Lodge.
There is Sakshi plugging away at her deus ex machina role, determined to break down Arjun's resistance and bring him back both to the world of the living, and to his lodestar and haven from all storms, Aisha. For now, her tactic is to keep him continuously linked to the ETF thru her as an intermediary. There is no significant yielding in the wall as yet, but hairline cracks are beginning to appear. Arjun is at least looking at Aisha's photograph, again obtained courtesy Sakshi.
Last, and the most moving of all: Aisha 'listening' to Arjun's silence at the other end of the phone line and feeling it eerily familiar, and Arjun willing her to say Hello! again, and when when she does so, being submerged in an unexpected tidal wave of long suppressed emotion. I was reminded of the scene in the film Jannat 2, where ACP Pratap Raghuvanshi dials his home landline number to hear the voice message recorded by his murdered wife, and weeps helplessly.

He was straining himself to hear her voice again. Please speak…please once more….please…
As if hearing his heart's call…
Ais: hello….
He closed his eyes…feeling her tone soothing his pain at heart… bringing in a new hope… a smile… a wish… a prayer… a life in him…
She was closely listening to the silence at the other end. It had an eerie. It had a pain. It had something beyond life. She could feel herself holding on to the phone as if her life depended on it.
And at the other end it was not different. He could feel her heartbeat. Though it was silent at the other end, it still had a feel of longing.
He wished to take her name… make her understand that he is alive... he is right beside her… but something in him was stopping him.
Sakshi was coming out of the washroom. Aisha was with her phone. "kiske phone hai Aisha?" there was a bit worry in her tone seeing the silent Aisha.
Ais: patha nahi Sakshi. Kuch bol nahi rahe. 3-4 bar call kiya. It's from Aryan.
Sakshi was holding the breath at the name. She takes the phone from her with a false smile and walks out of the cabin.
In the other end, Arjun was listening to every word. His Aisha… he felt his eyes burning. He could feel the phone on the other end moving from hand to hand. His heart was shouting a big NO… but he was as helpless as always.
Sakshi moved out of the cabin to a more secured placeand closer to an open window. "hello…."
Arj: Sh… please hold the phone.please let me feel it again. Let me remind ke iss duniya ke bahar bhi mere ek duniya thi …
Sakshi was feeling terrible now. She had seen his vulnarable side at times. But this was so different. She coulde feel his pain, the one that he felt so close to his love, still so far away. She held on to the phone silently. She could hear his heavy breath on the other. She was giving him time to compose.
After what seems like ages, but which actually took onlya few minutes, she could hear his normal breathing. She looked around. Beyond a glass wall was Sree who was hovering over the lap, and Aisha and Liza walking towards him. There was a change in Aisha, may be she too sensed him.but still confused. There was no one nearby, and so she took the initiative.
Sa: Arjun…
There was silence at the other end.
Sa: yaha zyada kuch nahi badla Arjun. ye wahi duniya hai,tumhari duniya.yaha kaam aur zindagi ko alag alag karna mushkil hogaya hai. sab kaafi busy hi rehthe hai. par har kisi ko jo bhi time miltha hai, thab kafi mayuz bhi hotha hai. lekin sab kafi ache actors bhi hai.sabkuch chupane keliye, kisike paas ek rough look hai, kisike paas smile, kisike paas kuch jokes… aur kisiske paas sirf yadein…. Wo jo sab unke ankhon me dekhthe hai.
Silence again.
S:mien janthi hu tumhare liye sabke samna aana mushkil hai. lekin ek bath janlo Arjun, you will have to come in front of them one day.you are going to be answerable to them one day. And before that you should be ready. Baba ke bath pure tharah se mano Arjun. if not for you,atleast for her, apne pure dil lagado. I see her daily Arjun and I can see her pain. And trust me, it's much more than what you have experienced. I can't keep this secret for long.
Silence still. She too gave him some time.
Sa: is silence bhi kafi keh rahe hai Arjun. shayad tum nahi sun parahe hai. usse suno. Samjho, aur jaldi wapas aao. Can I do something for you now? kuch tho bolo?
Silence for a while too. And then… "thank you Sakshi. Aaj tumhari wajah se mien apne pyaar ke aur kareeb agaye. Wo do shabd hi kafi hai mere liye. I promise… I will be there one day. Shayad uss din wo mujhe maaf nahi karenge. Pure team mujhse naraz bhi hoge. Par mujhe yakeen hai, ke mien zaroor aunga."
She felt a smile on her lips and a tear in her eyes.
Arj: lekin thab thak zara sambhalna.
Sak: kisse?
She asked with a naughty tone. He never took Aisha's name before. She wanted to hear it now.
Arj: (sensing her crookedness) mere pyaar ko…
She smiled. After all whom was she trying to fool?
Arj: thanks again Sakshi and I really mean it.
Sak: you better. Aur mere bath yaad bhi rakhna.
Arj: sure. Bye.
Sak: bye.
She cut the call.she was feeling better. At last she had started her real mission. She was able to light a ray of hope inside Arjun. The much needed revival from the Aryan.
She walked out to the room. Aisha was actually waiting for her. She wanted to know who was online.
Liz: kya bath hai Sakshi? Kafi ache mood meho. Kiska call tha?
Aisha was relieved; at least someone brought the matter ahead.
Sak: khas nahi,bohot khas the.
Liz: really?? Bolo...kya naam hai uske? Bath kaha thak badi?
Sak: Li… you got me wrong. He's my …. My best friend. Naam hai Aryan.
Lis: nice name. haina Aisha?
Ais: ha…but why didn't he speak to me? Bohot chup thi?
Sak: wo… wo… actually he was a bit upset. Mujhse bath karna chathe the. beech me tumhari awaz suna…tho silent hogaya.
Ais: oh I'm sorry… wo phone bar bar baj rahe the…isliye…
Sak: are don't say sorry. He was not upset with you. (he is in love with you. He was waiting to hear your voice. It's him, Aisha… her heart was saying silently.)
Days later:
The days were going as it went by. There were cases, lives at sake, sadness, masti… everything all around. Now Aisha was a bit different from the lady who took the train from Allahabad. Still the ex-ETF officer was in the making. There was still long way to go.
Aman, he was a person always filled with positive energy. Be it in between the case or not, be it in front of 'dammit' or not. Still he was fresh. He knew each and every person and their attitude in the team.
Sree was an open book. Maybe he was more close to Aman now a day.
Chotu was a guy with a golden heart, filled with love. He couldn't think anything bad about any one. Yet Aman never missed his short comments on the 'dammit' sir and so on.
Liza… her only mission after dealing with the dead body was to irritate Sree aka Specky Sen. Bubbly in nature.
Rathod, a true gentle man. He knew how to keep his team intact. Strict to the max level, yet so open to all.
Aisha… she was no more Nadiya. Her changes were visible to anyone who looked at her. Be it on work, she gave her 100% and other times, she was there among all who needed her and still all alone. But she never let her stress to be a problem to anyone. Aman admired this lady. She was far away from her love, yet she was coping up. In a crowd her eyes were searching for someone, at a whisper she would turn around, and then turn back with a heart that she tried to hide from anyone. Aman admired her. Can someone love anyone in this way? Lucky are those who find their love in their life. And even luckier are those who feel the love even they are far away. He started living with the same hope that Sree had. Maybe Arjun would come back one day…
Sakshi… she is mystery girl. Lively. Fun filled matured lady. To have that combination is tough, but she did it. In the masti group, she was the new leader. When a case comes in, she switches her role, keeping the liveliness intact in her. She had sources…. Very reliable ones. When Rathod asked about them, she said she couldn't disclose it. It was too confidential. None bothered to ask more. An investigation journalist does have serious sources.
And the very own source…
He was far away, he knew many a things. And he knew where to get things. The phone was his life source now, it kept him alive…much alive.
Varma was the happiest person now. Aryan was responding well to the treatment.
If everything goes well in this way… he would be soon up from his bed…
Arjun…. Every time he saw baba doing the routine work on him… his heart cried out. He wished to say out something that he had hidden from this godly figure in front of him. But he didn't know how he would react. Maybe he was getting too selfish. Maybe living with a lie that didn't hurt much was better than living with a painful truth.
It was days after which Sakshi 'actually' became his friend that he came to know about Aryan. Thanks to Sakshi who did the background check for him.
Aryan Varma… a teenager from Kerala was brutally killed in an accident in Mumbai… well that was what Mr. Varma knew… but what was the truth???

After a day's work, the team was leaving to home. Aisha, Sakshi, Sree and Aman were in an SUV. Sree was so angry, Aman enquired about it to Sakshi silently. "later" she mouthed silently.
Am: you alright Sree?
Sr: I'm fine sir.
They left the matter there itself. Aman dropped Sree and wheeled out.
Am: ab bolo bath kya hai?
Sa: bechare Sree ko Liza kafi thang kar rahe hai. Actually she was not willing to harm him. aaj kuch zyada hi chidaya usse, aur Sree gussa hua. Aur kaamse dhyan hat gaya. Rathod sir se kafi sunna bhi pada.
Am: that's clear on his face.
Ai: par Liza mazag kar rahi thi. She is upset too.
Am: in dono ke dosti kafi ajeeb hai.hamesha ladthe hi rahthe hai.
Sa: kahi ye ladayi pyaar me tho nahi badlege?
Am: I don't think so.
Ais: no one can predict it sir. pyaar kabhi bhi hosakthe hai.
Aman and Sakshi looks at her dreamy eyes. Aman try to focus on the road, but Sakshi was still with her.
Sa: wo kaise Aisha?
Ai: pyaar ek alag hi jazba hai Sakshi. Jiss din pyaar karne lagegi, tum khud jaan jaoge.
She closed her eyes. It was told to her one day long back by him… it was one of his tag line… the words she had inscribed in her heart…
Sakshi did recognize the words too… she too had heard it from him. long back… when she asked how he could love Aisha even when she thinks him to be dead… he had said in a voice that ringed in her ears… and today it had a different feel as it came from his love's lips.
Aman… he had never gone through the real love… he had a liking to Nadiya…. which he couldn't catogorise as love… still the words had a deeper meaning he wished to know…
He stopped at Aisha's gates. She got out and bid goodbye and walked toher home.
Sakshi and Aman wheeled away silently, both lost in their own thoughts. After a while,
Am: kya hua? Ithna chupk yu ho?
Sa: kuch nahi Aman. Apne aapko samjhane ke koshish kar raha hu ke aise bhi log hai iss duniya me.
Am: viswas karna mushkil hai.lekin yahi such hai. patha nahi, ye kahani ke end kaise hoga?
Sa: 'they lived happily ever after'
She said in a dreamy voice.
Am: matlab?
Sa(waking up): I mean…. Isi umeed se duniya chalthe hai na?
Aman eyes her with confusion. "mien samjha nahi? Shayad tum Arjun ke last case ke bare me suna nahi hai"
Sa: suna hai. achi tharah se. lekin ek umeedko zinda rakhne se kya problem hai?
Am: wo tho hai. magar…
Sa: lo mere lodge bhi pohonch gayi. Good night Aman and thanks for the lift.
Am: good night.
She walked away to her lodge.
Am: akhir kya keh rahi hai ye ladki? Kya abhi bhi koi umeed ke kiran hai?
