Women are pragmatic and think of these things. And that's the grey area this show is bringing up ... should she have kept quiet, or should she have said something, knowing it might rebound on her daughter later?

The show, I can see is trying to play with the difficulties of the Indian society , especially regarding women. I get it.

But, I cannot take Uma Ben's insults. She's leaving no stone unturned in insulting CC's family, in every way.

I understand what you're saying, Sunara. But this is reality. It's always the girl's side who make any and all compromises. At least CC's family don't behave that way, but there are so many families who act as if the ladke-waale are doing them a great favour by taking their girl off their hands. I can't even imagine what the poor girl must feel, when she sees her own parents treating her like a burden they can't wait to get rid off.

weird for me u know, cz i was raised by a mother who, when she for the 1st time pointed at a young couple in a shopping mall, where the guy was pinching the girl's hand and forcing her to leave or something and told me 'that is one thing u should recognize in a guy and should drop him like a hot potato, cz if he abuses lightly before marriage that should be enough to dump him' i was 12 then. And well my teenage years and even now has been scattered with pieces of such advice that empowers me as a girl and gives me value. So I know my family will rather allow me to not marry and remain single than lose my personality by marrying someone!

So for me this concept is alien!
