Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani earns 100 crore before its release

that this Friday release 'Yeh
Jawaani Hai Deewani' will
cross the coveted mark of
Rs. 100 crore at its box-
office, but seems like the
much-awaited movie has
already struck the gold
before its release.
According to reports, Ranbir
Kapoor and Deepika
Padukone starrer film Yeh
Jawaani Hai Deewani had
already earned Rs 100 crore
before it got released in
theatres. The film is being
made at a cost of over Rs.
50 crore, where in addition
Rs. 20 crore is spent on the
promotional activities,
making it a total of
approximately Rs. 70 crore
in its final expenditure.

Now here goes an apparent
calculation of Rs. 100 crore
earning. All India
distribution rights of the
film are sold for Rs. 55
crore. The Satellite rights
are sold at Rs. 28 crore,
Music rights at Rs. 7 crore,
overseas distribution rights
at Rs. 11 crore, and lastly
video and other rights for
Rs. 2.5 cr. Everything sums
up to roughly Rs. 103.5
crore, and thus it is being
said that the movie has
already crossed the much-
desired mark.

Trade Analyst also believes
that this new-age rom-com
flick has every possibility to
enter into the 100 cr club
with respect to its box-
office earning, and as it has
already earned Rs. 100 cr
from its distribution and
other rights, 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' may surpass '3 Idiots' box-office collection, which was more than Rs. 200 crore. 🤣

I thought films entered 100 crore club on basis of BO collection. Strange how they made a film member of 100 crore club on basis of sale of various rights!

Looks like Kapoor puttar is too desperate to "topple" Khans' benchmarks! 😛

Somebody tell him and his PR that the 200 crore of 3 Idiots is entirely its Box office collection. Not earning from other revenues added up!
