"Did he tell you; at least once that he loved you?" Asked Ghuman.
Kumund was blank; she didn't know what to say.
"He didn't? Did he? He is my son. He never will tell you those magical words." Said Ghuman.
Ghuman silently walked away knowing that the arrow had found its mark.
Kumund couldn't believe her ears when Ghuman had told her that.
She held her dressing table to steady herself.
'No, this can't be true.' She thought.
She remembered all the moments she spent with him.
Her birthday , their confession, him asking her for a date, the mehendi on her palm, the possessiveness in his voice, the Dandiya night and her haldi cheeks.
"No no, this all just a nightmare nothing else. " She said as she found herself going limp and crumpled to the floor.

Saras was practising in front of the mirror, on how to ask Kumund for marriage.
"Kumund, I love you with all my heart! Will you marry me? What is wrong with you Saras? Try again, you can do it. The love of life Kumund Sundari Desai will you do me the biggest honour of accepting me as your husband? *goes down on one knee opens a ring box.*"
"Better, NO I have to be the BEST. I will do it again." Thought Saras
Saras kept trying until he felt he was going to be sick if uttered will you marry me again.
He decided that he will propose her in his style. Mr.Saraswatichandra Vyas style.
"What will you Saras?" Asked Angel Saras
"What will he do you idiot? He will go kiss her and slip the ring onto her finger, mark her as his then go for the main kiss. "Said Devil Saras
Saras only heard the devil's advice, that's what he will do he thought.
The feel of her soft feathery of skin under his rough lips. Her smell intoxicated his brain. The small blush that spreads on her cheeks. Her eyelids which close in shyness. The way how her body arches towards him when he wraps his arm around waist.
'Kumund was certainly an epitome of beauty. I will go tell her now.' Thought Saras.
He was almost near her door when he saw Kumund crumble to the floor.
"Kumund." He yelled.
He gently picked her up and laid her on the bed and splashed some water on her face.

Kumund slowly opened her eyes to see a visibly shaken Saras in front of her.
"Call Badima" She told Saras.
"Mai, mai Kumund is calling you." Yelled Saras
"What happened Kumund? Are you fine?" Asked Badima.
"I am fine Badima, I want to talk to you." Said Kumund
Saras stood in the background slowly watching their exchange of words.
"Saras, could you please close the doors and leave?" Asked Kumund
Saras looks at Mai who signals him to do so.
Saras closes the door and leaves.
"What happened to my baachi?" Asked Badima
"Badima, woh Ghumanji was telling that mine and Saras's rishta will never happen as he is rich and I am poor. Is it true? " Asked Kumund
Duggba was beyond furious to see that Ghuman had poisoned Kumund's mind. She would deal with her later she decided.
"Nahi Kumund if you truly love each other, Saras will ask for your hand in marriage. "
"Par Badima Ghumaji also told me that Saras will never tell me that he loves me. " Said teary eyed Kumund.
Duggba was beyond infuriation. How dare Ghuman tell Kumund all this!
"Kumund" She said while stroking her hair.
"You know Saras has difficulty expressing his emotions he holds everything inside. Only recently he has started expressing them openly, give him some time. From what I see he does love you Kumund. From his actions what do you think? Do you think he loves you?" Asked Badima
Kumund nodded in the affirmative.
Duggba smiled and said. "Then wait, when the time is right he will tell you! And any relation is built on trust Kumund, don't believe in other peoples words as they are just jealous of your happiness."
