Prem Chopra and Raj Jutshi were the first to come for the award function, followed by many television and Bollywood stars. The highlight of award night was a performance by a blind orchestra, known as The Udaan Orchestra. Dheeraj Kumar received the award for best contribution in films and serials. Prem Chopra got best versatile actor award, and Raj Jutshi got best actor in negative role for the serial Madhubala. Other winners include Pragati Mehra and Tina Dutta for Uttaran, Deepika Singh for Diya aur bati.
