Amrita had popped in to see how auntiji was doing. She still looked very weak but eagerly asked Amrita to sit with her. She explained that she was bored if only she could read some of prayer books, it would make the day go faster. Amrita found herself reading extract from Ramayan for the next hour or so which auntji was enjoying. Amrita looks up to find that Auntiji had drifted off to sleep. She closed the book, put it on the bedside table and sat and watched Auntiji for a few minutes to make sure she was asleep.

She quietly left the room and started to make her way downstairs to drink some water, her throat was parched after the reading, and then head to the guest house. As she passed a window she looked out thinking do I have time to go for a walk. She saw Mamaji pull up in the jeep and started to climb down. She was just about to turn away and continue to go downstairs when she saw Sugni running at full speed at Mamaji. She stopped, wondering if something was wrong and saw Sugni hug Mamaji and say something. Even at this distance it was clear to see that she was happy/excited about something and the Mamaji was looking at her half in amusement As they continued their conversation Amu turned away making her way downsairs thinking she had never until today seen Sugni or Mamaji ever hugging or showing any physical display of affection in front of anyone, their communication in public was through their eyes and expressions.

She shakes her head and makes her way to the kitchen. She admires the new furniture as she makes her way to the fridge. She pours some water in a glass and as she started to drink it she hears Mamaji's and Sugni's voices. For a moment she freezes, as they came nearer she can hear from the tone of their voices that this was private conversation. Not wanting to intrude she looks around and quickly makes her way to the store room intending to go out to the guest house once they pass the kitchen and go into the main house. To her horror they come into the kitchen. She steps out intending to make her presence known when she sees Mamaji brush Sugni's hair from her face and the look on his face spoke volumes. Amu steps back in to the store room and therefore couldnot help but overhear their conversation. As she stepped out of the kitchen, she glanced towards the corridor leading to the main house and saw Sugni leading Mamaji and the intensity of her gaze said it all.

Amrita turns and makes her way to the guest house. Upon reaching it she sits down in a chair thinking how can Mamaji still love her so intensely and care for her soo much after the hell she has put him through and how much Sugni seems to have changed. Before she was always too shy to show Mamaji any kind of affection but now she has changed and is showing him just how happy he makes her.

As Amrita sat their thinking about the conversations she has had since that call from Aditya asking to meet and what she inadvertently saw/heard she realised she had come to a cross roads and she needed to decide which direction she was heading.

One direction took her towards Aditya - but for that she needed to understand whether like Mamaji could she forgive and forget everything that had happened and love and care about Aditya as much as before and whether Aditya would change to make me happy?

The other direction took her away from Aditya to build a new life one brick at a time.

She knew she needed to make a decision soon as the longer she stayed more everyone's hopes would rise which was not fair if she was going away but how to decide? May be she should go back home, there was nothing keeping her here now, may be that allow to make a decision. She sat there thinking a for a long time.
