so true... Love it or hate it... Ekta is the most successful tv producer till now... and can't be compared with others... she has given us so many memorable shows , lead pairs and stars... her earlier shows like hum paanch, kutumb, maano ya na maano etc were brilliant. Even PR was so good in its earlier days... 😊

I can't help but agree to this.

Yes, Gul's shows are very different from Ekta's shows. However, after being an ardent Geet and IPK follower it seemed that after a year or so the storyline became weird and dragged. Also the characters were butchered for the most part and the new characters that were introduced made no sense. You might want to argue but it's a fact that alot of the people were upset to the point that they had stopped watching the show.
But again, I feel Gul is much better in keeping the lead away from the melodrama and usually putting the leads together instead making it all confusing and like a web.
Also from time to time Gul tends to put a lot of light moments which gives the audience some to feel relieved.
Ekta has had good shows such as KDMHMD, KMH and KYPH etc...but it's time that she changes the characters and storyline. The audience is changing and with the audience the thinking is changing.
No one will tolerate such melodrama, sacrifices and pools and pools of tears anymore...
we want something fresh, new and innovative.

Gul Khan is good, but she too like Ekta follows her own formula: Guy is hardened arrogant, girl is bubbly chirpy who whips the guy into place by showing him the "true" way of things🤪Ditto for Ekta who works on a similar formula.

That said, Gul has shown serious improvement with QH, as her previous show stunk and lost steam within 6 months! Ekta on the other hand, runs a factory: PR has touched 1000+ episodes, with many of her previous shows doing the same. If Gul wants to sustain in Indian Telly, she is gonna have to learn the concept of longevity.

But, one thing Gul is a master of is picking talented leads (Sobti excluded) tailor made for her roles (Sobti excluded)

I didnt really watch QH much but in whatever i did watch, d character of Asad seemed a bit too much for me being a feminist! I also heard that he slapped and emotionally abused the female lead . I was like :o. I dont think i would prefer watching such a show. Yes, PR sucks big time but if wot ever i have heard about QH is true then that show isnt dat great either.
In my opinion whole of the tv industry is OTT. I hate d way they portary romance! Eye locks and that udti hui hawa hawa thingy. Cant for once romance be handled a bit maturely?
I am so sick of this rich arrogant guy falls for a poor mousey but beautiful girl concept! Infact PR is d only primetime show that i have truely followed dat too because i love ashvik's chemsitry and ofcourse RD 😊

Ekta's hit couple Rajeev aamna is STILL remembered after 9 years
Gauri and Hiten , the best Jodi of the decade was her casting
You know if there was no ekta many of you wouldn't have Gul khan to chant on
Star plus became the best channel in co operation with ekta kapoor for YEARS

It's okay to have your views on qubool hai and IPKNND and geet
But it's completely wrong to disrespect Ekta's work
I make fun of ekta and her concepts too
And I think she should stop repeating tracks
But it's her craft. , she is giving us 22 minutes of entertainment
If we can't respect her , we shouldn't disrespect her by comparing her to a complete new director

i grown up watching ekta shows :-D and i admit that m her biggest fan , and yes she do hav some minus point lyk ,dragging stories , repeating , and meaningless show ending etc etc , still she s d best i hav ever seen . I stil watch her shows kdmh , kdmhmd , ks , kasturi ,kzk ,kyph ,kmh, koi dil mein hai ,kavyanjali etc ...and her all shows leads r awesome , i love eijaz khan alot as kavya ...i love all her jodis ... I love her shows leaps...moreover i lov everything abt her shows .,:-)
i didnt watchd geet ,but i folowd ipkknd and nw watch qubool hai ...loved ipk a lot and arshi became one f my fav jodi ...and befor i didnt lykd ksg ... I dnt knw y i hated him . But n Qubool hai ,gul selectd d right person as asad ahmed khan , i lovd him . I lovd her both show its diffrent n its own way ...that show say t tself that dis s gul khan's creations...hats off to her .:-)
we should respect both d same way .but for me ekta s d SOAP QUEEN !!! :-):-):-)

there is lots of difference between these two. i agree that ekta is making show from 20 years but what the point if over the period she doesn't change the concept much, in most of of her shows the lead got separated for any reason. we always have to look and we can never be sure whether they will meet in end or not.also i agree she produced some mind blowing shows like KMH, PKYEK, but others were just drag i mean now a days people want to watch shows that have some meaning and story not just rubbish which is running for years,

on the hand Gul she must be new to industry but she defiantly has a strong story line, powerful dialogues and talented leads. she very well know what the audience want and one think i totally like about her no matter what she never separate the leads whether its in geet in IPKKND where she married both due to misunderstanding and in qubool hai too zoya will not be marrying ayan as ayan got married to humeira. i know her scenes are repeated in all her shows also the fact that characters of leads are pretty much same.

both ladies have one thing common that at a point they both dont have story to continue where gul shows are shut down due to some reasons geet because of channel closing and IPK due to sobti leaving ekta managed to continue by doing long leaps which totally give her chance to show a complete new story.

and as for the slap which was shown in qubool hai was justified as that slap was given by a son and due to his love for her mother. gul shows her leads arrogant but they really love their love ones and they hurt themselves more when they hurt someone they love.

That's exactly the point people are trying to make Ekta's shows go on for too long. There is no need to drag a show you can have another one, its quality not quantity.

i am loving QH... though i never liked geet or IPK there the male leads were very abusiv but in QH Asads character is a little different or we can say less abusive hahahaha

however Ekta mayis show sucks big time but how can i forget her magical couples and one of them is sujal Kashish

who says she cant potray love stories? i mean she is the one who started showing love stories on tv

i wont mind if ekta could again show us a magical couple like sujal kashish
