SRK refuses South remakes

Whilst remakes seem to be the flavour of the day in B-town, there is one actor who is refusing to be associated with remakes of South films. Shah Rukh Khan has been approached for many such projects but continues to press for an original script.

According to Times of India, Khan said, "When my friend Murugadoss tells me that there's this hit film he's made and he wants to remake it with me, I say, 'Why don't you write one for me? The worse that can happen is that it'll go wrong. But that's OK; we'd have tried something original".

"It's been hard for filmmakers to convince Shahrukh to sign a remake. He has received several offers from top directors like A R Murugadoss and Prabhu Deva, but SRK is against the idea of remaking a successful south film. He believes there is no creative satisfaction from scene-to-scene remakes. If there is a original script, he is more than willing to consider their offer," a source close to Khan also stated.

Khan has been a part of a remake before but it seems now he wants to only be a part of something authentic.

becoz he wanted to prove people that he can do better than senior AB. he always try to compare himself with him, whether the films like don or KBC. shahrukh could never repeat the success of AB in his projects.

Isn't Chennai Express a copy of a South film? Sounds and looks like it anyway.
