Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra says she is India's answer to Lois Lane

NEW DELHI, India: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra says she is India's answer to Lois Lane, Superman's great love.

Chopra played the female lead in India's first superhero film, "Krrish," which was among this year's blockbusters.

Chopra told The Times of India that her popularity among children has soared since the release of "Krrish".

"You could say I am India's answer to Lois Lane," she was quoted as saying.

Chopra was voted the "most amazing actress" by Indian children participating in a poll by the Pogo television channel. Hrithik Roshan, who played the superhero in "Krrish," bagged the award for the "most amazing actor."

"The award is very special to me because children have voted for me and I love them," Chopra said. "I keep telling myself that if I don't find a man in time, I will adopt some kids."

A former Miss World, Chopra is now working on a performance for the opening act of a musical concert by Nelly Furtado in Mumbai on New Year's eve.
