Found this while surfing. The interview is dated 2010! Still holds true

What is your take on the popular MasterChef series in India?
Food is second priority in MasterChef India, unlike the popular MasterChef Australia, where the focus is on food.

I'm sorry but this is just clutching at straws - that interview was in 2010!!

A bollywood actor no longer presents the show, instead 3 professional renowned chefs do. Another thing, I bet there's not a single person who's viewpoint on all sorts of things hasn't changed in 3 years!

I think we should stop over analysing and enjoy the show for what it is.

What clutching at straws?

By posting this, I meant to emphasize that the quote still holds true.

Reviewing MC3, food seems to have taken a backseat to drama. Everything is happening except the focus on food. Mediocre contestants (read Navneet & Sachin) are going forward while the good ones (Devyani & Aditi) are being sacrificed in the name of trps!

And the renowned chefs have hurt their own reputations by their inconsistent judging & blatant bias!

Over-analysing? When SP brings a renowned series to India, they must be open to critical analysis.

What's left to enjoy on the show : more drama, tears, biased judging, hawking ice creams, judges' charity, bitchy remarks?

The show has lost its sheen & is a blot on the MC franchise/format whatever! Its become a joke, a bad one at that 🤢

but the biggest irony is that even in 2013, when Sanjeev Kapoor is on the Masterchef3, the focus is still not on food...deserving candidates are being eliminated & those with tearful stories are being retained!
