Is is true Zee US spurs US viewers? - Page 2

yeah, we are way behind india's episodes. I tend to watch on line the current episodes then i am not that curious to watch US episodes, they cought up kasamh se quote a bit we are now only 3 or 4 episodes behind. i wish they do this for saloni as well so we are on the same episode.

I like the subtitles. Sometimes at night I watch the serials in my bedroom and mute the TV so my husband does not get disturbed.

I'm sorry but I don't agree with you're email.. and you can't say that you are representing a wide range of people because not a lot of people may agree with you.. I personally like the subtitles.. my hindi isn't that great so there are some words that I don't understand and I refer to the sub-titles.. likewise I know a lot of people who agree with me.. fine example are my young cousins (and i have lot of them) they don't speak any hindi but they like the dramas and refer to the sub-titles.. I dunno if you are from the US or not and if you are not you can't say tht you are speaking for the US audience.. you have to be part of the audience to actually speak for them.. Well thats just my opinion.. as for the as the old episodes being telecasted in and and you refer to them as a drag, Those were shown in India at some point.. and these actually just build up the drama so I've no complaints.. It's not like these are episodes only made for the US audience, these were once telecasted in India as well..

And for one more thing.. the Zee TV American audience is not only composed of Hindi speaking viewers.. Zee TV US has a lot Begalis, South Indians, and Guyanese and people from other Regions watching there shows.. And i can tell you one thing that these peoples hindi speaking and understanding skills are very minimal.. I can tell you this as I live in a very multicultered place like New York..

But MT.. don't take offense please.. i'm just telling you this looking at the Zee TV US audience.. I know so many non-Hindi speakers who watch Hindi Movies and shows.. I watch Spanish and French shows.. not even understanding a word of the languages.. but the sub-titles are really good to refer to

how is that possible .. i mean how cna us zee show episode which is not shown in india

Well, if you really read my post, I said I'm not from USA. I also insuiated that ZEE USA airs old epsiodes compared to other channels (duh I know these dramas are made for India's Indians, not NRIs - it's just aired for them later ).

Okay, great if you guys don't know Hindi. Sheesh. I'm not an NRI so I would naturally assume that people who watch these shows would understand Hindi. Am I wrong in thinking this? I mean, I was raised in the US lived there for a while (maybe longer than you) , and Zee TV with those dorky titles. So I know what a good number of the US viewers actually feel. I know I don't speak for everyone, but you need to realize that not everyone agrees with your opinion as well as mine - heck, they might agree with me or you, we don't the stats for that. But whatever it is, there's two sides to this issue, and there are people who agree with me - my e-mail was 'voice' their opinion to the Zee oppressors 😆. Besides, many of my friends live in the USA (as in, born and raised there, and who moved) , and when we talk about the ongoings in Hindi dramas, this subtitle thing seemed to be a source of discontentment. 🤔 They've asked me to 'help this cause' and I did. Was there something wrong with that?

Hey MT.. no I haven't taken offense of your opnion.. But it's quite surprising that you would say these dramas are made for "India's Indians and not NRI's.." Indians are Indians no matter where they reside.. Also read that you live in India.. but since you stated that you lived in the US.. I would assume you know the mutlicultered groups living in the United States.. and Indian dramas do attract a wide array of nationalities and people of all background.. it's not polite for you to say that these dramas are made for "India's Indians".. lol. it's just funny for me.. And I was born and raised in the US.. haven't been to India so I don't have any friends there.. .. But I know people from so many different backgrounds and would find myself justified in saying that hindi speaking NRI's aren't the only ones watching these shows.. anyways.. thats what i've experienced FIRST HAND.. 😉

I don't think you all should be so selfish to viewers who can't understand hindi.Not because you understand the language means everyone else can.

You watch re-runs of so many shows on cable all the time what's a couple weeks behind in the soap opera.

Also you all should know by now the producers and directors have their serials to manage and nothing you say change the way they direct their movies.

Please be considerate to other people.
