This is the last and final Warning to all Members of the KS Forum, whether new or old, to refrain from using Capital Letters, either in the Subject Line or in the body of the post itself.

Since members are refusing to comply with Forum Rules after having been warned a number of times in various Warning Posts (its assumed that most of you never even read these posts), any violation of this Rule will earn you a direct increase in your warning levels (of course assuming that you have read the posts requesting Members to follow Forum Rules). And for those Members who have not been warned as yet, please go and correct your Posts.

Posting in Capital letters amounts to 'Shouting' in the Forum, and its considered to be very rude and indecent on part of members. You may write a few words in Caps but we have come across posts which are entirely written in Capital Letters. So you all will have to take care of this, no matter what!

After this, if there is any increase in any member's Warning Level due to posting in Capital Letters, you only have yourself to blame.

Thanking you,

KS IF Dev Team

Thank You Sangitaji for the post!

But why do we have to avoid using capital letters? Does it offend anyone in a way in which we are not intended to? Do some people take it personally? Or is there a technical aspect to it?

Some of us use capital letters to better portray what we are trying to say. It adds our emotions and tone to it. Can we not do that anymore?

Thank you,

Anjali

As per Forum Rules, it amounts to 'shouting' in the Forum and its bad manners actually. And definitely very very rude.

I hope you get the point. I will add this aspect to the main post.

Ok....Thank you for the clarification.

But doesn't one or more exclamation marks (!) also convey 'shouting' or a higher voice level used....more than normal?

But you dont have entire posts with exclamation marks.Exclamation marks reflect the mood of the statement at its end, while Capital letters only imply 'Shouting'.

But we do come face to face with posts that are written in Capital Letters entirely. That does look rude.

Anjali,

Not only just on the Forum but on the Net generally all caps is considered to be rude and equal to shouting. As to why, can't really say. Possibly all caps is hard on the eyes.

Rgds,

So using capital letters is rude in all aspects, throughout the World Wide Web. But what about using excessive exclamation marks? Is that not rude? Is that not 'shouting'?

Well it seems you have a suggestion. And a pretty valid one at that.

Ok let me forward it to the Admin and await their opinion. Meanwhile, one step at a time.

These Rules are set down by the Dev Team, so they have to be followed.
