I feel the fight could have happened another way somehow. First of all, Vidyachatur went kind of overboard shoving his friend like that. After all he is a guest in their home what kind of behavior is that. But seeing as its a Hindi show it has to over the top. Secondly, I think it may have been nice if instead of taking their father's sides, Kumud and Saras tried to be more diplomatic and tell their fathers to calm down and have these two play the adults if their fathers are going to be so immature. I guess they wanted to have Guman create a lot of fireworks for some basically small issue and have everyone annoyed and upset so they could leave the haveli. 😳
But I felt bad for Laxminandan because he was a pawn of his wife's low nature just as his son was. I mean, he has no idea of everything she has been plotting since her arrival and even Saras doesn't either. Saras knows Kumud's anger firsthand why couldn't he be the calm and rational one? He was the one who saved their entire family from disgrace not too long ago, and Kumud was the one who bridged the gap between father and son. Duh. They could have made it a bit more realistic instead of having the two children jump in. The only coolheaded thing Vidyachatur did was send his daughter to her room before she opened her mouth.

I agree Trinzie...to me the fight didn't really make much sense yesterday and it seemed the only purpose for it was to get Saras and Kumud at loggerheads...I'm sure there could've been another way round it...

Trina, I think the dad's fight was the side-show... CV's needed a brake/breather for the Samud relationship and this was only the means to the end... So obviously the "kids" had to jump in, else what would be the point??😆

I agree with you Rish, the pushing was OTT for me as well. I wouldn't be able to justify that move unless the guy was drunk and couldn't hold his liquor. That was just for getting TRP's, it didn't make a lot of sense. I mean, if it was Yash trying to push Kumud or one of his cousins I would understand because that is in his character description. But Vidyachatur is the one who tries to make peace between everyone. Like when he was placating his bhabhi over her son's crime, or putting Kumud and Saras together during the kite sequence. The same guy who was going to sleep under the stars with his best friend is now shoving his best friend? Doesn't make sense.
Hahah Saras' Kumuuud was good, wasn't it? But even he could have given her a look that said "cool it" or "come on, calm down".

I agree Sumaiya it was to get them to fight with one another. But also Guman probably wanted to leave for Dubai because her mission to take possession of the haveli and punish Vidyachatur for opposing her marriage failed. Plus, her sidekick sister had already left so there is noone else to really plot with. 😆
Even if they were supposed to fight, like maybe they could have had the two be the peacemakers and then when they try to discuss it in private they end up disagreeing about whose fault it was. But I guess they wanted to make it more dramatic and have four volcanic eruptions instead of two. 😉

I think you're right happychappy. They had to jump in to save their dad's izzat. Isn't it funny how 90 percent of the show and any Hindi serial is about this one thing? 😆😆 Btw please call me trinz.
