Nothing really matters but sometimes nothing is all you have" says Samir Soni who recently walked out of the popular telly serial "Jassi Jaissi JKoi Nahin." What's Samir Soni upto
Soni, surrounded by a Calvin n Hobbes collection in his suburban sea facing apartment. He explains, "Calvin's my favourite comic.
The humor portrayed is brilliant, adult issues are very simply put through a little boy's perspective. Calvin the character is very smart and witty and the questions he raises are simply mind boggling."
Samir says, "Hobbes, Calvin's stuffed toy comes to life when nobody is watching. The duo is always up to pranks.
Once Hobbes decides to go to school, do Calvin's homework and also tells Hobbes that tigers are better than human beings. Influenced by this Calvin decides to be a tiger. Numerous such incidents and others make Calvin and Hobbes my all time favourite read." I, me, myself
"My day begins with mawa cakes for breakfast with tea and I cant resist pizzas, mughlai food and ice creams. If possible I would spend 24 hours sleeping." Purab's bedtime tales
Soni's bedtime favourites include Marlon Brando, Deepak Chopra, J Krishnamurty. "I love listening to Bruce Springstein, John Lenon, Christopher Reeves among others. "I go into hibernation once in every while. I switch my phone off, read books, spend time on my own, pen down my thoughts in a diary, which also contains the poems I write once in a while during introspection. This is what I have been doing these days apart from finalizing my forthcoming ventures," he confides. Philosophy
"You speak when you cease to be at peace with your own thoughts. If you can live in silence, that's where the truth comes out overcoming your mind. Conquer your mind. I can remain completely silent for two days at a stretch," he philosophizes. |
