Gauri meets all the pre-requisites of Ekta's definition of an adarsh naari, she is intelligent, she is a doctor after all, she seems sanskari (ah, that most required trait), she is from a middle class family (another mandatory requisite), performs household chores nor perfunctorily but with relish, helps her brother with homework, exhibits filial piety, is dedicated to her profession, even massages the feet of her patient, recounts stories to her comatose future mother in law to be and seems such an ideal woman.
EXCEPT, and it is big except, Gauri seems to be totally lacking in common sense and appears to be afflicted with a major malaise of self-aggrandizement. She runs into Soham with the coffee or tea cup in her hand, forget which, and blames him for ruining her dress, she assumes he is a goonda, presumes he is upto no good when he visits his Aai, and today sets the cops on him imagining he has followed her beautiful, virtuous self to the party.
If this is Soham's jodi, heaven help the poor boy, the last of the Mohicans, the only mardh in PR will soon fall by the wayside. With his downfall, PR will be restored to its former glory, it will recover its reputation as the premier Amazonian show with fiery women and even fiercer matriarchs, the men serving no other purpose other than to revel and boost the egos of their sanskari counterparts.
