Zoe and Humzie - two sisters - two flawless , unconditional, selfless, ridiculously beautiful women inside out. In love , irrevocably , with two incredibly flawed men with flawless souls.
While Zoe's story is of a wait of confession and Asad opening his arms to her, Humzie's story is of a wait of realization and Ayaan's opening of his heart to her.
While Zoe refuses to face her feelings until Asad shows the green signals and answers all her questions , Humzie shows more bravery and she expects nothing from Ayaan.
While Zoe finds love and happiness in teasing Asad , flirting with him, confusing him with tease and pokes, fishing for compliments , acceptance and appreciation , hoping that she will be able to put all this together into a beautiful canvas and maybe they both will hear the calls of their hearts, Humzie seeks a glance or two of Ayaan, just one look or two of tenderness, just to hear his voice and smile through those lovely almond eyes , hoping that maybe it doesn't matter if Ayaan loves her back or not , her loving him is enough for both of them.
While Zoe wants complete acceptance , stamped and sealed into Asad's heart so that she can cross over from her puppy-in-the-rain syndrome and give in to her heart without the fear of being abandoned and rejected by him, Humzie wants it all too but not in her time- she wants it to happen in Ayaan's and hers time.
Today, Zoe's scanning of Asad continues - all the chatter and teasing she does with him on the flower bed just to make him say that she looks beautiful is a subconscious attempt to push him towards the admittance that he loves her. If he does, she no longer has to hide from her heart and she can run into his arms without any anxiety of being rejected.
Today, Humzie's tears of love , gratitude and her honest confession to Ayaan that she is not seeking any proclamations of love or is keeping any big expectations from him simply show that she is the 'giver' in this relationship - the strength of faith and heart while Ayaan ,who continues to be a weak guy in many ways, finds himself crumbling and very dwarfish in front of the power and passion of Humzie's love.
Two sisters and two different takes and definitions of love - and i never thought i will say this about Humzie someday , but i do feel that Humzie's love is braver than Zoe's. Don't ask me how because i cannot explain it - kisi ko aisaa lagaa hogaa toh samajh hi jaayega ki maine aisaa kyun kahaa.
And once again, after a long time we had the soulmate parallels. Asad adorning Zoe with flowers and Ayaan adorning Humzie in gold. Reluctance , confusion, hesitance and hence , the test of love must unfold.
P.S- Sometimes, i wonder who is more unfortunate between the two - Ayaan or Humeira? Humeira for not being loved back or Ayaan for not recognizing his soulmate and loving her back? The universe gave him a sign - Humzie came back to life because of the power of his prayers and Nikhat even reminded him the sign. But ...
