I am sorry for all the previous Ayaan fans but this new one is way better than the first Ayaan. His hair is better styled and thus I can see his eyes and expressions well and I felt this guy acts better too.
My only question is why was that trip and fall a tad bit longer than normal? What were they looking into each other's eyes for? Its not that they saw each other for the first time. Please CV's don't take it the Balaji way. 4 Lions has always been new and innovative and 'hat ke' and I want this difference to prevail even in QH.
I loved the interaction between Ayaan and Zoya. It was highly necessary that Zoya was probed and pushed to think about her own feelings. Ayaan acted as her conscience today asking her why was she getting married if she disliked Asad so much or may be she did love him and that is why is willingly marrying him . I wanted this for such a long time that Zoya realise why she feels happy thinking getting married to Asad and why she feels sad and disheartened when Asad tells her the marriage is all fake. Why she feels unhappy when Asad ignores or shouts at her and why she feels elated whenever he is around taking care of her, when he put the ring on her and brought her back she was so ecstatic. This introspection is required for character build up and the storyline.
Or else a modern independent girl like Zoya who lives on her terms is shown having no mind of her own. The guy puts the ring on her and she willingly came back not even questioning their future, the mother-in-law without even asking her decides to get her son married to her and she silently agrees, she agrees to carry the charade of fake marriage without any inhibition...all these has to make sense. I hope they show Zoya later thinking about Ayaan's question deeply and coming to the conclusion that she loves Asad and is happy to tie the knot with him. If she is independent then the decision to marry should also come from her heart and should not be imposed on her.
I know she wants to know Asad's feelings, she probes him all the time about his emotions but she should be certain of herself before she asks Asad about his point of views about love and marriage. What if he says 'lets get married' or 'do you want to get married to me' or 'what do you want Ms. Farooqui?', I want her to be ready with her answers. She gets cold feet and backs out from his questions every time and yet she wants him to confess.
Both are scaredy cats running away from their emotions or trying to gauge the feelings of the other or wants the other to confess first. But as a woman I want Zoya to know about her feelings first before she decides or questions Asad. Then she can push him all she wants.
I sincerely hope this way you will show Zoya has a strong hold of her mind and lives on her own terms and takes the life changing decision all by herself.
