Today there was a surprise for the remaining MC contestants: the eliminated contestants came back!
The judges asked who would they choose if they could save someone from the eliminated ones.
Ripu - Khoku (R felt both r from Delhi, good rapport)
Yasmin - Ishrat
Doyal - Devyani (Do felt De left cos of her)
Navneet - Sachin (N felt responsible for S departure)
Nisha - Aditi (A raised eyebrows on being chosen by N; hmm some story behind scenes)
No one chose Jehan or Happy (who thought Navneet & Ripu his bf ).
The judges then said that the contestants would form teams with the challengers, n cos no one had chosen H&J, they'd go it alone with an advantage.
Then everyone was shown 6 mystery boxes.
1- Vikas lifted the 1st saying the whole of India loved the ingredient & they'd have to make something using it - Rice (challenge main ingredient)
2- Khoku was asked to pick a box - Rolling pin & board. She'd have to make something with rice but must use the rolling pin set for it.
3- Sachin - Pasta machine
4- Ishrat - 2 kettles
5- Aditi - Bamboo steamer
6- Devyani - 2 Muffin trays
Now the 5 teams had to use the techniques they'd picked to make their rice dish, but other ingredients could be cooked using other techniques or none at all.
Happy-Jehan's advantage - use any of the techniques given to the others or any other that they wanted.
The time allotted : 60 mins. The teams would work together but only for the first 30 mins, then the challengers would finish the job alone.
Only the challengers were allowed into the pantry.
1- Ripu-Khoku : Rice Tacos with fruits n chocolate
2- Navneet-Sachin : Ravioli Pasta stuffed with red meat.
3- Yasmin-Ishrat : Biryani
4- Doyal-Devyani : Savory chicken Muffins
5- Nisha-Aditi : Dumplings
6- Happy : Steamed chicken n rice
7- Jehan : Rice terrine (sweet)
On successful completion of the challenge : 1 challenger will be safe!
But other challengers will get chances during the week 😊
