Hahah when did I say that you find the darker skin despicable, don't defend your position in that sense.

My contention of this argument is that when a person promotes the fairer (whiter, or brighter [according to you]) as being the better looking from the dark, then that in a way is promoting that stereotype that has existed for ages - where the white skin is the superior one.

Yes, your argument about racism happening from two different races is true, however these beliefs of the fairer skin being better are not helping in the matters of racism being eradicated, rather (in my opinion) are further promoting them as they put down the darker skin to say that the whiter skin is better-looking, or more beautiful, or people with whiter skin are more preferred/more confident etc etc etc.

Alright ...Alright ...If YOU wasn't YOU as in ME ..then I wouldn't accuse YOU as is YOU ( Krani ...A Guy / A Girl << Whoever ..😆 ) of accusing ME believing that mysterious YOU to be ME ...😆 ..Um..Did that make sense ? ...Well...Okay I ll set all Fairness cream factories on fire tonight ...Don't forget to read that news in tomorrows Newspaper ...Um ... Although appreciating fair skin over dark skin can't be called Racism per se...In my opinion it definitely does fall in the ambit of racism, because in not so few cases skin colour and racist behaviour are interlinked ...
If u take Indians as a casepoint, many indians have a brown skin tone..Racist remarks have been made against them by saying things like "brown monkey" etc... A remark like that is not only an attack against the Indian Race but also their natural skin colour...
Even during apartheid there were specific areas earmarked as "whites' only" where it would also be written in the signboard "Blacks not allowed".. Again thats an attack against race and skin colour...
I think its unfair that an entire race is known as "blacks" because of their dark skin colour...I see that as a kind of racism...
Having said that, its also true that racism is a wide topic that encompasses so many things...(Indians have been made fun of for their accent, spicy food etc - remember the racist remarks against Shilpa Shetty during big boss?)...skin colour is just one thing...

Thanks for the link...it only reiterates my point...But i was actually referring to the apartheid in South Africa where "blacks not allowed" signs were put up in certain places...Again, i was referring to South Africans when I mentioned people calling them "blacks" and how I see that as racism

Yehahaha ...😆 ..True that ...That's how the Story of a 'Mahatma' began ...😆 ..when they chucked him off a train at Pretoria. .

I appreciate your contention ...but I guess what happened in India could be rated unequivocally as the epitome of racism by the people of WHITE skin ...against Indians ...Much exasperating ? ...I guess you too would agree ...Eh ? ...😆

And trust me the story doesn't end just there ...It's iterative ...something that can't be overlooked I believe ...
