Chapter 4(i)

We came out of the princi's office. He was walking behind me.

"what's your punishment?" jeevika asked worried.

"She'll have to say yes to me." he grinned. Really!! Drop this act already. I ignored him.

"No punishment. He let us off the hook this time." I sighed. I'm really tired from all this. I want to go home.

"That's great. Let's go."jeevi linked her arms with mine and we turned to leave.

"jeevika…" we heard him calling jeevi so we turned back." could you please leave us alone for a while? He flashed his heart-rate-spiking smile.

"shh…sure…" jeevi got nervous. What's with that smile? It seems to have an effect on every girl.

"Manvi…I'll see you tomorrow." she turned towards me and winked. And before I could say anything she was gone.

What the hell was that???!!!i now officially hate her. How will I stand him???Last time he wanted to talk to me he called me a monster. Who knows if he chooses to call me a 'dementor' this time?

"Manvi" he snapped me out of my thoughts. "Are you nervous to be alone with me? Don't worry I'm not gonna do anything unethical. "Again that goofy smirk.

"Well…I've a little doubt on that part." That arrogant b*st**d !!

"Why don't you leave me alone? I don't like you and you don't like me. Then why are you doing this to me. What have I done?" I said exasperated. Then it dawned upon me." Wait….are you trying to get back at me for what I've done two days back?" surely that's what he's trying to do. "look, I've already said sorry for that. That was just a dare I was given. I didn't mean what I said. I've even talked to Maya about that. She's cool with it. You don't need to worry 'bout your relationship with her. I.…."his finger was on my lips.

"You're too easy to read." he had an expression of bewilderment on his face. Shit!!!Can he read my mind??

"No, I can't….stop giving that shocked expression." again he answered my thoughts. This is spooky!!!!

The ring of my cell broke the trance and I realized his finger was still on my lips. I took a step back and answered the call.it was my mom inquiring my whereabouts.

"Yes mom I'm coming home. Don't get stressed. I'm not a kid." my mom. Always keeps on worrying about me. I need to remind her constantly that I'm a grown up and can take care of myself.

I cut the call and look up. He was nowhere to be seen. Strange!!!
