Did Sara have an affair? I didnt quite get the part when she told Piya that she was seeing someone else outside her marriage. Could someone please clear this for me?

sara didn't have any affair. she was lying to test if pia would tell her the truth about anand. actually, mohan told sara about anand's affair.
