Asad wants the marriage to take place and has had his realization of love moment after mangalpur . Therefore after walima when Tanvir speaks on his behalf 😡and he walks away to his room he says:
Nah tu tumeh jane de sakta hu nah to tume pas ayne deh sakta hu. Ghar yeh bat aagee bari to shayad duk ke sewa mei khuch na de sakoo (cant let u go nor can i let let u close coz I might only end up hurting u)
Asad also knows that relations are very important to Zoya
- The first time he saw her was when she was crying over a Nikkha that didn't happen - to a guy she did not know and that relationship did not mean anything to her but she knew the importance of it and that's y was crying (not to mention disappointing Appi and Jiju)
- Asads knows how much Dilshad means to her – she after all risked her life for his mom as she love Dilshad like her known mom
- He also knows relations matter so much to her that she has put her life on hold in new york and is staying in India all by herself with a few pictures to find her dad – who mostly likely abandoned her
After mangalpur Asad knows his life is nothing with her and that he loves her. What he doesn't know is how Zoya feels for him. Yes she will go to any extent to help him and make him happy (but she also did that for a stranger like Marium – in fact got buried alive then) so does that mean he is a good friend? Generally Zoya is better at communication and being verbal with her shairi etc. He is often telling her to shut up but in this case she is mute and the reason she is she hasn't had her realization moment HERSELF.
He blasted at her on the gift day coz all the rituals matter so much too him and as per him she is taking it all as nakli / lightly n it seems to him its all fun and games to her – so he is hurt. Since he doesn't seem to have the power to let her go he is lashing out at her in hope that she leaves him!What he doesn't realize is that if it didn't feel right to her she wouldn't have gone along with it (e.g In court case when Asad was going to be the main witness against Rashid it felt wrong to her so she had stood up to Asad).
Asad was a guy who never wanted to fall in love – he did 😆 .He is OC n he needs to be in control – with Zoya he has no control nor does he know where he stands and its the insecurity that makes him yell irrationally. Once he knows that his love is reciprocated he will be with her through think n thin (i.e her journey to the truth) as per pillar of strenght
