Episode 269 Discussion - EOD Summary

Madhu reveals her plan to Sultan giving him the glimpse into her suffering at RK's hand.

Events Of The Episode

1. Sultan confronts Madhu asking what is going on? Madhu hesitates to reply but Sultan insists on knowing what game she is playing. Madhu vehemently denies that what happened with her heart, her self respect is not a game. She says she is fighting for her life, self respect and broken heart. She says she is neither a private property, nor a painting to be put on the wall or thrown in the sewer as one desires. She is trying to prove to everyone that she is a human being. She however recovers from what she is saying and to whom and apologies to Sultan for including him in her plan.

2. She then explains to him the events of the night of what led her to invite him to the party. Sultan is still confused as to what she gained by all this. Madhu informs Sultan about how she turned tables on Dipali, gained RK's trust. Sultan questions her about why play a game when she could have easily exposed Dipali's treachery. Madhu counters that the only way to gain RK's trust is using RK's way since RK has problem trusting other people due to his own experiences earlier. She had to resort to drama and act a bit like RK to gain his trust.

3. Sultan wants to know, why she wants to gain RK's trust. Madhu is confident that not only RK's trust but she has won over his heart as well. And even though RK denies this today, one day when he trusts her completely, that day she will hear a loud breaking of his heart. Meanwhile in RK mansion Sikki is packing while Dipali is fuming. Dipali is confident that Madhu will return to RK's life to complete her mission. Sultan is surpised to hear that Madhu plans to break RK's heart. To that Madhu narrates to him about RK's 4 phere ki shadi with her, how he showed her dreams, got her ready to leave the whole world only to leave her jilted at the altar. How he crushed her, reveled in her pain, changed his strategy and forced her to stay in his house because that is what he wanted, trapped her in his house so she could not flee from there. She accepts the fact that RK cares for her but feels that is only because if she gets hurt, that will hurt him. Not because he cares for her grief. She feels it is important to make him feel the pain of heartbreak.

4. Sultan tries to dissuade her saying you are not RK. As far as he knows, she knows how to join the hearts not break them. He implores her to rise above hate and revenge. Madhu tells him that she cannot weaken her resolve as RK has insulted her and her family every step of the way. She will be the one who will punish RK for his mistakes. It is necessary very much to show this superstar RK mirror and make him realize that he is nothing but an ordinary human being just like her. She hopes that this will help bring some change in him, he will start respecting others. She will not retreat and RK's heart is sure to break. Sultan asks her what will it do to her heart. Madhu is sad and replies her heart is already broken and nothing remains that can be salvaged. It is only beating to keep her alive. She reiterates her resolve and states that she does not care if she is called selfish or heartless.

5. In RK mansion, RK is restless remembering how he insulted Madhu in the party, Madhu refuting Dipali's claims about meeting Sultan in the mall. When Radha gently touches his shoulder he says the situation was such that anyone could have been suspicious of Madhu. He is upset that Madhu knows how much RK needs her in his life but still she did not care and left the house. He reiterates that she is only his and he does not need anyone else except her in his life. He suddenly notices Madhu standing there. He asks Radha to leave and asks Madhu how he can apologize to her so she can forgive him. He accepts that he made a mistake and he has rectified it by asking Dipali and Sikki to leave. He says now everything will be alright. Madhu repeats that now everything will be alright and RK says yes. Madhu walks away in disgust and RK asks, Madhu have you forgiven me now?

And there it is. This is no teaching "RK a lesson". This is pure revenge. Madhu is going to try to break RK as completely as RK attempted to break her.

Madhu reveals all her plans for revenge into the ears of an attentive Sultan. She'll break RK's heart, and leave him. She'll achieve her goal, by means fair or foul. After all, all is fair in love and war. Her heart is already broken, so she doesn't care about what people may think of her.

So she thinks she will be able to walk away after breaking him. That she doesn't love him anymore - her heart is broken. That RK's love is selfish. Wonder if it is ever proven otherwise how she may feel.

PS: Couple of side notes: How long are they going to continue to make a caricature of RK, depicting him an an egotistic selfish boor? Sultan and Madhu are being shown moving closer -anyone notice that he holds Madhu's shoulder? Okeey CVs, got it. Blech.

ETA: did like how Dips seems to have gotten the measure of Madhu. Some fun sparks are sure to fly in the near future! Am also looking forward to seeing exactly how Madhu implements her plan of bringing RK down. I feel like CVs have been giving us hints of RK's increasing vulnerability, so I guess it won't be too hard. Hopefully this isn't going to go on for two months.

Why are CVs openly disclosing Madhu's plan to viewers when they went to a great length to hide RK's revenge? What is the purpose for Madhu revealing, explaining and justifying her actions to Sultan? Has he become such a confidant that she feels comfortable to discuss these details with him when she has kept these things from her mother and sister? Why does she feel that Sultan will just be a bystander and not interfere in her plans?

RK has conveniently placed the entire blame on Dipali and Sikki and not once has he stopped to think his own role in it. However that was to be expected. I am not surprised and nor should be Madhu. He cannot see beyond the chant "Madhu meri hai" and feels now that he has punished Dipali and Sikki, Madhu should have no problem forgiving RK. They both made him do shaq on Madhu, it was not his fault. What must Madhu be feeling? Her resolve gets stronger when she sees such signs.

The only thing that Madhu must remember but she has forgotten is that RK kept telling her again and again that yes he took badla on her but it did not leave him unscathed. He burned in it equally if not more. Same fate awaits Madhu as well. That is what Sultan is also trying to tell her but she is not in the mental condition to understand it. She thinks ki uska dil toh bikhar chuka hai, there is nothing left for her to lose after this but that is not true. Listening to RK's heart break will not be music to her ears as she is hoping, it will be the sound of agony, tadap, helplessness. She will not be free jab RK toot jayega. She will find herself equally broken by it, no doubt about it.

The way I see it, she will have a) Dipali waiting to expose Madhu's lie b) RK of course wavering between trust and distrust and c)and now Sultan who does not endorse Madhu's POA at all. I don't see her plan reaching fruition.

Sultan already knows what RK feels about Madhu. He also has a good measure of Madhu as a decent person, not vicious out to ruin others. I believe there are strong chances that he will wear the mask of the bad guy by pretending to obsess over Madhu and hurt RK somehow so that Madhu comes to her senses and abandons her plan. I think he is going to play the good guy here (by acting as a bad guy) so that Madhu does not go to the dark side completely. The reason - he cares for Madhu and already is on the dark side so is living the effects of it everyday. I somehow do not see him waiting on the sidelines for Madhu to destroy RK completely and then step in to claim Madhu for himself.

I feel sad more for RK than for Madhu. Madhu now has Sultan, her friend who will do everything to prevent her from going to the dark side. However RK only has Madhu in a truer sense to prevent himself from falling into abyss.

In all this, Bhujang is going to rear his head with his own agenda throwing Madhu and Sultan's plan for a toss and changing the face of this game.

Now Madhu's plan is unveiled- it's all about revenge. And you know what? I love it! I love that they are showing this girl as a human, flawed character- RK destroyed her- that was his goal, and now she wants to destroy him. It's not about teaching him a lesson, its not about staying within her values. It's about making him hurt. And that mentality? Is incredibly human.
And yes! Yes to the fact that a) She is going to use Sultan and b) She is not giving any importance to what he is saying. The first makes us realize that Madhu see's Sultan as a pawn (though he does not realize that) and the second reinforces the fact. Sultan has no influence on her whatsoever. He doesn't soften her emotions, he does not make her reevaluate her position. In short, my friends, Sultan has as much influence on Madhu as a lump of wood😆
On the other hand, RK has made Madhu change. He made her evolve. The same as what she is doing to him. Madhu and RK are the cause's of each others sanity, and tragically they are the causes of each others insanity as well. Madhu at this juncture is like RK- revenge done, she will move on. No you will not Madhu. And Madhu know's that as well. But the desire to make RK hurt, too make him feel a fraction of the pain she felt- that desire is placed above everything. Above values, above relationships (lying to Radha and Padmini), and above sentiment (Sultan and Aryan).
Madhubala is the daughter of Balraj Chaudhary. She comes from a lineage of pride and madness. And in that RK is her match. As she breaks him down the same way he did her, a new game will arise. And don't pity RK- the man will rise up again, either as someone who's ego will not blind him anymore, or as someone whose ruthlessness will scare us all.
These two are the players. Everyone else is a pawn.
Let's hope that the CV's are able to play off this track in a way that garners TRP's though, otherwise MEIEJ is in trouble.
