Who said she has any intentions to help RK? She is not being altruistic and she is incapable of being so at this point because her rage at being used is blinding her. I still would not ascribe it to her ego. Since when has fighting for your self-respect become a battle of ego?

In future, though she may start seeing things from his perspective, once her revenge is done. After all she has to answer her own conscience too.

fully agree Cardio 👏 earlier on he refused to admit that he's in love with Madhu, then he refused to admit his mistake, now he's blind to her emotions , pain , bas tape recorder ki tarah "tum sirf mujhse pyar karti ho","tum sirf meri ho" etc. etc. i can go on and on about him 🤢 like you said, something is terribly wrong with him after holi...it's very sad the way they butchered him...looks like common sense has evaded him...i remember what Shri said abt him..he needs to break down and acknowledge all his past mistakes and make peace with them...only then he will come out of his "i love you/ i love you not, i need you/ you are cheating me" ..ego and love can never co-exist...i want that RK back whoconfessed to Madhu that he wants her 😭 he was drunk , but he was not lying..

I don't think RK's character is butchered, but instead the Holi incident triggered his insecurities even further. He coloured Madhu, and then he wanted her to colour him. She was about to do so, but at last minute ended up running to colour Sultan so she can save him from Bhujang. Now Madhu had her reasons for doing that, but this has always been one of Rishabh's main fears.

Despite whatever went down between him and Madhu, Rishabh lived in this security of having her fully committed to him but at the same time he also had his fear that one day she may choose someone else over him. During Holi Madhu decided to colour Sultan instead of him and that is what he first perceived of that situation. His actions afterwards and his repeated dialogues of she's only his were the after-effects.

thanks supercool 🤗i missed that point...he can't help thinking that Madhu has "moved on" from him in a very short while..toh uska pyar kamzor tha ya Madhu ka...also, it was Madhu who told him that she will fight with his complicated heart till the time they are not one (means RK is not ready to accept that he loves her)

RK's revenge was indeed classier. If nothing else I will still give him this - he never took physical advantage of Madhu. A man who buys a girl for 40 lakhs does not sleep with a pillow-wall between them. Even after making her fall for him, he maintained his distance by making the 7-phera wedding excuse. He was very much tempted during the village night and yet he held back.

For him the whole revenge was about breaking her heart in return of hurting his ego. At first he tried humiliation (photos in newspapers, 4-phere wedding, making her spot/servant) in return of the humiliation he faced by being sent to jail in front of the whole world. When that didn't break her, he turned to the prem-game. Just like his ego is his most prized possession, he thought for Madhu it was her heart. That is what he targeted.

RK used his sad past to make a place in Madhu's heart. Madhu is using people who care for her. So blinded is she by her anger that she is using a dangerous gangster for her revenge. This is a guy who breaks necks in a second. He may be indebted to her right now for saving his life but for how long is he going to agree to be used? Madhu has already forgotten that RK saved her from Ballu only a month back. How long does she think a gangster is going to remember her debt?

While not condoning, revenge from either party, I have to say that why is it perceived that Madhu is fighting for her self respect, while RK was only avenging his ego! I beg to differ, would any self respecting man minus the ego be okay with being slapped in public, sent to jail for 4 days when he was ready to compensate for the loss to the man's family? Agreed that his ego does not allow him to admit his mistakes in those cases, just like Madhu's does not allow her to see her shortcomings when recounting their tale! I think he was fighting for his self respect too, but yes he did take it too far and now Madhu is going to do the same thing! I think they are a perfect match for each other, come what may!

Agree with you

People tend to make 4 slaps very trivial..but it was a big blow to his self respect and ego. And I equate it as humiliation just like rk humiliating Madhu
