Imtiaz ali's film upcoming film 'highway' starring Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt,which is gonna release this december, already has a TV version of itself,directed by Imtiaz Ali himself.
Do chk out 'Rishtey - Highway' on YT..its still available.Cast here is kinda surprising tough :D.
Nice story,kets see if that effect can be recreated on silverscreen.

Aditya Srivastav (cid's abhijeet fame) was the male lead,female lead is a well known face too.forgot her name :(

I watched this episode years ago! It still remains one of my favorite Rishtey episodes! Kartika Rane was brilliant in it! Let's hope Alia lives up to that! I'm pretty sure Randeep will play the perfect pimp...no doubt about that.

Female lead is Kartika Rane. She played in Captain Vyom and Hum pardesi ho gaye.

But are you sure this film is a remake of that episode? I thought the same as well when I heard the title of the film but I couldn't find any article on it. 😕
