Well ... Imtiaz did say that he has had Highway's script on his mind for a long time and it was actually the first movie that he wanted to make .. maybe he got the idea of the movie from the Rishtey episode and the movie might be just an extension of the Rishtey episode.

absolutely possible!
certainly elements like traveling across states r added.40 min epi can't be made into a movie right away :)

I hope you are right. I really liked the episode. The screen play and acting by both Aditya and Kartika was very good. If that is the case, I can see why he picked Alia. She fits the innocent, lost babe in the woods role to the T. Hopefully, she will act well as well. Now I'm even more excited about this film.

The girl's name Veera in the serial is the same as the one of Alia's in the movie... who knows the movie might be a remake of it...

Will check out the episode when I have time..

I watched that episode when it was posted on CID Forum..and looved it..as am also a huge fan of Aditya Shrivastav..he played his part so brilliantly...I hope the movie also come out to be awesome
