Every single Ekta soap is about permutations and combinations. The last thing one can expect from her soaps is common sense or logic. She loves driving her audiences up the wall with her skewed notion of relationships.

I see a lot of people out here scoffing at the soap and its characters and the lack of logic. Yet, most of them are clearly aligned to a particular permutation or combination. When that is challenged, there is tremendous unrest and discontent and questioning of logic, notwithstanding the fact that the logic bird is what is served thrice a day on Balaji sets. I think this is Ekta's triumph. She ensures that her audiences invest heavily emotionally in her characters and combinations. No matter what happens thereon, her audiences continue to watch the crap she dishes out, even if they keep dissing her all the way!

To me, whatever be the permutation or combination, It is Ekta's victory all the way. Opposite fan camps, be they of the characters or the actors, can keep cursing her to hell and back. All she wants is for them to keep watching her show. Which they are, if the reasonably steady TRPs are any indication.

So, it is not Arjun-Purvi, Arjun -Ovi, Onir- Purvi or ABC- XYZ ki jai. It is Ekta Maiyya ki Jai! How she must be laughing!
