Okay so they all behave as if Ovi is a criminal to "drink"
I know it's not healthy and neither do i drink
But it's personal choice
And Ovi is shown to be a girl raised in Canada
And this is a part of parties and social grouping here
Drinking doesn't make a person bad or good
She is not pregnant
So she should be free to do what she wants

I don't know why of all people Arjun is lecturing Ovi about drinking because he also drinks. He drinks in the parties all the time. He even drinks with his dad.

Social drinking and drinking till you are drunk are two different things, though. Having a drink or two with friends during a meal or a party is fine but if the drink becomes a necessity or a dependency then we have an issue. Giving Arjun the benefit of the doubt here, his concern could be the fact that she was had an issue with alcohol when she was pregnant. And she appeared slightly tipsy.

Alcohol consumption may hav some benefits but its harms outweigh the benefits. Indian culture and values makes alcohol a taboo. That more and more Indian people are beginning to consume alcohol talks to the changing values that the community is undergoing. I hope that emulating the western societies we live in will not result in a devaluation of our own values and standards.

What do you mean by "bad"? Is the habit bad or the person's character?
A habit is bad if you as an individual are not in full control of it and let the habit control you. Ovi is in that state where she has continued the habit irrespective of what damage could it have done to her (forget about the baby, it was more dangerous for Ovi herself). She uses drinking as an escape mechanism.
As for a character of a person, I do not believe a habit can "make" a personality. Of course, being disciplined about not succumbing to a bad habit is good but not being disciplined would not make a person bad either. I do not drink but I do not judge a person just based on drinking or smoking. Similarly neither do I judge them if they wear backless blouses. 😉
For me, character is about being true to oneself, treat your fellow human beings with dignity and fairness, will to fight against your destiny if that does not work in your favour and having a heart to forgive other\s faults while not grudging their success.
Just in case, you had questions for me in future 😆

Good points, Vasu!
We also dont judge people for wearing off the shoulder dresses, short skirts or frocks.
Social drinking is fine, perfectly normal, we all do that... but drinking alone in a hotel room? Can become a habit resulting in becoming an alcoholic.
BTW I thought Ovi didnt drink before? That was the argument put forth that she and Teju were brought up in conservative manner by Savita in Canada. Well, there goes the theory out of the window that Ovi never drank or partied in Canada.

Arjun should not care about what Ovi does or how she lives her life
He loves Purvi , and he didn't care about Ovi when she was killing herself for him
Why now

Eww alcohol consumption has no benefits though
It makes you fat, and then tipsy and carefree in a very weird manner
But our community is embracing most western values that wouldn't be otherwise acceptable in Indian culture
Drinking is nothing compared to that

People who drinks are not bad but people who intentionally drinks knowing their conditions r bad :|
Ovi knew she was pregnant but still she kept her baby's life at stake just for the sake of possessiveness and arrogancy..this mistake caused her to loose her baby...even if the accident wont had happened, still she might had given a born to still born baby or a baby with disability

Killing herself for him? Pls do not glorify 'suicide' by calling it any other name. It is a crime, plain and simple, in majority of countries if not all.

i think what waneeka meant was that when she was self-harming because of their broken relationship, he wasnt concerned with her well-being at all. just cause he had purvi in his life, he didnt have to show concern for her. now that purvi isgone and ovi left him all of a sudden he is telling her that drinking is bad for her health? maybe people who love her like her aai baba can tell her that (bare with me im presuming her aai loves her here) but not arjun. especially not when he admitted to still loving purvi. really i still dont understand why they are prolonging arjun's silly ovi and patni ka haak drama just to give a red ribbon ending to punir. its tiresome. if they want to continue that track its fine, they dont really need arovi drama to continue on the side.

ekta's men are one woman men. they only 'love' one woman. but her women change partners rather frequently but come back to their lead jodi because all other trials went wrong. men also marry but only because their one true love asks for it and then break that marriage when the one true love wants them back- be it karan-nandini (once tanya was done raising the kids and putting up with a non-sensical pre-tulsi return karan, nandini all of a sudden found out that her third husband was fraud and she moved back into virani house to 'help' KT- all she did was phailaoed raita and ruined eklavya's life. then bhoomi-manthan (tanya's kids) uske and tanya out of the house) or sujal-kashish (she married three or four times and was engaged atleast 6 times i think- didnt keep track. but sujal only married her and her sister on her insistence and then of course like moths to a flame they were back on track) or angad-kripa (i think kripa was just about married twice or thrice-even had a kid from her first crazy husband who framed angad and of course she didn't believe him. but i think they are still my fave ekta jodi. they never pretended to have high moral grounds at least. they were open about their relationship and unapologetic about their love being both emotional and physical. and they never got pressurized into marrying others for sabki bhalai. they did it out of their own volition) and now our very own arvi.

i think there's something wrong with ekta's psyche with these things. sorry for the long rant guys i was just trying to point out how stupid it is to keep all these 'other women' tracks going till they turn them negative when really they were good people to start with. people do have amicable divorces. you dont have to ruin other characters completely to unite two people. so really all this ovi drinking and arjun's so-called half hearted concern is silly. as soon as purvi came in, all of ovi's drinking concern were gone- purvi was wet! ridiculous.

Ovi can drink. Nothing wrong in that.

But not ALL the time.
