The results were out & he was right...

Maan leaned back on the sofa with a glass of wine in hand. His face was hardened with his dark & intense orbs. The lights were dimmed around. His thoughts were already intoxicated with Mishty's images, her touch, her feel, her love...He didn't know how seconds would pass let alone four months without her. Maan Singh Khurana was helpless this time as he wholly cared about Geet's progress & success. His grip tightened around the glass which cursed it's being in his ruthless hand...

He walked up to the window & sipped his wine.

"Devdas Revisited! I really thought destiny asks your permission before framing any decisions!"

He was startled hearing Geet's voice. He felt her hugging him from behind.

Maan turned around to face her. Her lips curled up in a quirky smile when he yanked her close by the waist. Their eyes met. He was lost in her. Her fingers caressed his cheeks.

"Why is Singopore not in Mumbai itself???!!!!"

He was just about to smack his lips on hers when she disappeared leaving Maan startled, realizing his hallucination'.

Annie saw her dazed & flustered Bhai when she came there.

"I think I need the drink instead of you to lessen my depression!!" she said in a sullen voice.

"Singapore is taking away my Mishty for four months. If I could I swear I would sue Singapore for not being in Mumbai."

Annie raised her eyebrows in a clueless manner.

"What are you talking?? Singapore?? Four months??"

Maan was startled seeing her reaction.

"Being in Top 10, you & Geet are going to Singapore for the last term, right?"

Annie was even more surprised.

"Kuch bhi!! I think I will tell Mom that you have drunk too much!!" she smirked.

Then she told Maan the real story & he was stunned hearing her every word.

"Aur yeh tum mujhe ab bata rahi ho???!!!"

"Excuse me??? I thought you knew but what else can be expected from your jhalli & careless Mishty!!" she snorted.

Maan smiled quirkily.

"You were right Mishty! Destiny had to sacrifice to fulfill my demands! Ab dekho kya hota hai!"

Maan smirked heavily as he devised a prank on Mishty...

"You know what, Geet has snatched from me what was mine & I just hate her for that!!!" she sneered.

Maan sensed the sarcasm in her last words but she was genuinely sad.

"Kisi mahaan aatma ne kaha hai jab dost fail hota hai, toh bura lagta hai par jab dost 1^st aata hai, toh buhot jyada bura lagta hai, hai na?" he said quirkily & gave her a side hug.

Annie frowned. Maan cheered her up!

The next morning, nothing was hunky-dory...atleast for Geet! She sauntered through the corridors not able to digest the recent shocking & surprising changes which had suddenly ushered in her already abnormally unpredictable life. Since the previous night, she was trying to come in terms to reality...but in vain...

"Yeh kya hua...kaise hua...kab hua...kyun hua???... Babaji, do you get only my life to twist & turn...??... I don't know whether I should smile showing my teeth or cry using tissues...because now, you will transport me to Singapore for four whole months!!!!...Mujhe Maan se door nahi jaana..." her eyes were moist at the thought, "Babaji, will you help me to kidnap him in his sleep & carry him off to Singapore?????"

She spotted Maan reading a newspaper in the garden.She went & sat next to him.

"Woh...aapko toh pata hi hoga that I am going to Singapore."

"Hmm." he pretended to be engrossed in the newspaper.

Geet was shocked seeing him so calm & composed as if he was least bothered!

"I am going for four months." she stressed the words to gain his attention.

"Hmm."

Now Geet was not able to take his aloofness anymore.

"I told you such a big thing & you are not even saying anything in return!!!!!!" she ruefully grabbed the newspaper from his hand!

"Well, I recommend that you visit the bird park in Singapore as it's really beautiful. Say a warm hello to the birds on my behalf." he said innocently but mischief was evident.

Geet frowned.

"Babaji, ek main hoon who is planning to carry him to Singapore in his sleep & ek yeh hai who is interested to flirt with swans & mynahs!!!"

She blabbered angrily under her breath & Maan heard that. He smirked inwardly & coughed out loud!

"So won't you miss me?????!!!!!!!" she whined.

"To tell you the truth, I am very saddened by the fact that I have to postpone my pranks till your return." he put up a grave face, "But don't worry! I am thinking of some phone pranks!"

Geet's nose turned red in anger.

"Babaji, aapne dekha na! Inhe koi pharak hi nahi padhta!!! He will manage to play a prank on me even if I am in Mars!!!!!!!!"

She crumbled the newspaper in a murderous manner & dumped it in his hands & glared at him with her super angry hazels!

"Aww...you look hot! Main toh freeze ho gaya!" he said huskily.

She frowned even more seeing the mischief in his eyes.

"Dust Danav!!!!!!!!!!" she cursed under her breath & walked off.

Maan smirked heavily!

"Kya!!!!!!!!! Mamma-Papa got to know of my rank!!!!" Geet exclaimed, shocked!

Vikrant looked at her surprised.

"Yes of course & they are coming here within a few hours! Why haven't you told them the results yourself???"

"Woh--"

"Dad! It's because the results didn't match her expectations, hai na Geet?" taunted Annie.

Geet glanced sideways.

Few Hours later

The Handas arrived in the Khurana Mansion & all the pairs of eyes from both the families were on Geet. She gulped her saliva in nervousness. She could see Maan smirking from the corner of my eye.

"Babaji, mujhe aisa kyun lag raha hai ki kuch toh gadbad hai...??"

"Sorry Daarji..."

Everyone sighed as she mouthed her standard statement.

"Geet puttar, we didn't expect this from you!"

"Sorry Daarji..."

"Why didn't you tell us you are in Top 10??" asked Mohinder, elated!

"Sorry Papa..."

"I fainted when I saw my marksheet so I thought everyone will faint. Padhai karte karte pata hi nahi chale kab padhai ka over-dose ho gaya!"

"And not only that, you are the 1^st ranker!!!!!!!!" Rano chirped excitedly.

Geet saw the pride in the eyes of her parents & Daarji for her that she longed to see...The moment Geet felt on cloud 9.

Annie was 2^nd ranker, just one mark less than Geet!

"I kept my fingers crossed very tightly, may be that's why I topped..." she thought modestly.

"Sorry Mamma..."

"Now why are you saying sorry?" Annie smiled quirkily.

Maan smirked sensing what Mishty would say next! Geet glanced sideways at Maan.Then her eyes turned downcast...

"I am saying sorry because...because I don't want to be Singapore for four months."

Geet closed her eyes tightly announcing that, not knowing how everyone will react.

There was dead silence. Geet grew scared. Maan was taken aback by the guts with which she said that!

"Who told you that you have to stay in Singapore for four months??" asked Daarji, surprised.

Geet was shocked. She didn't in the least expect such a reaction! Maan smirked inwardly.

"Geet bte, you are going to Singapore for only 10 days to attend few prestigious education seminars which would be a boost to your future career." Dadima smiled.

Now Geet didn't expect that coming. She looked blank but at the same time joy & relief surged within her heart! But when she saw Maan smirking heavily, she knew what the matter was!

"Iska matlab...Iska matlab Maan knew this!!! Still he was fooling around!!!!!! He played another prank on me!!!!!!" she frowned inwardly!

When Daarji cast his suspicious eyes on Maan, he spoke immediately.

"Yeh Aaj kal ki generation! They never bother to confirm any news!" he said indirectly teasing Geet.

"Dekhiye, aap toh rehne hi dijiye!!!" she snapped abruptly!

And like previously, Maan held his ears to apologize to Mishty in front of all! Yeah! He looked very adorable but Geet looked away!

"Babaji, is my mind shockproof that you always bless Maan with ideas that shock me so many times in a day?????...Maan kabhi nahi sudharne wale!!!!!...Par Geet, yeh toh achcha hi hua na! Maan se jyada dino ke liye door nahi rehna padhega!" she blushed but then smacked her head.

"Oye Geet, he leaves no stone unturned to trouble you aur tu unhi ke bare mein soch rahi hai????... You are angry with Maan, is that clear??"

She told her reluctant self!

Geet was walking ahead ahead while Maan was following piche piche.

"Aww...I think a refrigerator will give wonderful cooling to your red nose!" he said mischievously.

She pouted angrily!

"Aap na Chaddo!!!!"

She walked away stomping her foot!

Maan smirked.

"Aww...Lagta hai I havta manofy Mishty now! "
