I am all about a man honoring the title of his wife and affectionately calling her by any variation thereof... However, the male lead of this show has made mockery of marriage to the same woman not once, but twice. I have to say, the term "Biwi..." and especially the way that it is uttered by RK in a tone dripping with an almost callous possessiveness and ownership is really starting to erase the entire magic of the word itself...

Just my opinion. If you cannot share yours civilly (and I mean without the use of attacks, vulgar language or a generous sprinkling of unnecessary icons that induces only headaches), kindly refrain from contributing here.

But I think that RK calling Madhu as BIWI itself is USP and People love it .I and Many of us love it whenever RK calls Madhu as BIWI . It's his way of expressing his love to Madhu . I don'tthink HIs Tone , Or His arrogance is anything to do with it . It's just his Style to call her like that . Just my POV .

true. I imagine Madhu would forever be traumatized or at least scarred with the ritual itself.. he reduced the word, and every thing associated with it to a cruel joke made at her expense, twice. It must scratch at her very soul to hear him say that word.. ironic, that that's all it would for take him to remind her of everything, every time.

he used the Biwi sounds to insult her before... in front of his servants he used to tell her biwi , but his intention was "look you also servant but I call you biwi" And at the studio he made her as spot...but he called her "Biwi"...he always used it as a nick name for insult mahu...

Even though I agree that he made mockery of marriage, he wanted to take revenge on her.. And what was the best way? Do we realize what happens to girls like that in real life who challenge super successful people. --- Acid attacks, gang rape, kidnap and trafficking, and worse.

He went the most decent way to get his revenge. I am not supporting him,, but I have mentioned several times before that he didnt go looking for Madhu.. Was it like he saw her, wanted her at any cost. NO!
There is something called self preservation which is a natural instinct in a woman. Madhu never seems to display it. If Mukund was madhu's family member, RK did that accident and then was not taking responsibility, or mukund was mortally wounded.. Then Madhu's stand would have been right.. I am sure that RK wouldn't have gone against her, the way he did. When was the last time u saw a witness turning into a plaintiff..

And then we all know his super sized ego.. He decided to go all along.

And the way he says biwi, was earlier to rile her, and now as a mark of possessiveness ..

The reason, I never make a big deal out of it is because its not that he is possessive for her and doesn't give her the rights on him.. I would dislike it, if he was using this as a male prerogative and was having flings with other women. He has voiced it a million times that only his wife has rights on him.

There are numerous men who go out and have affairs,, from what I see its very humiliating for a woman, but we tend to forgive that humiliation.
.why? because many people do it? Just because it has been done before doesnt mean that it is more acceptable or redeemable.
He married

His arrogance is not because he is a man, but because he is a superstar.. Not that it is acceptable, but the truth is that he is extremely successful, one in a billion.. And had nobody around to keep him grounded.

I hope I didnt offend u, I was just trying to present my point,,.
As a Rishbala fan, I am not happy with the negativity of the show, and hope I don't spell it for you..

I wanted to be sarcastic but I suppose that's not allowed. Kidding, I agree. He is the worst kind of man who sees his partner as a piece of meat. All he really wants is to put her in a glass cage and drool all over her fair body. She is has PET name where pet is meant in the literal sense of the word. I feel like that is how a sane person would call out their dog or cat. GAWD this man annoys me and I do not appreciate his romanticization and this invisible aura around his head when he is nothing but inhumane and a misogynist.

Indeed, the repetitive use of the term has objectified the person in such a way that it seems she has no worth at all otherwise... and in the context of the contract marriage which took place and the revenge drama on his mind at that time, it certainly was no term of affection.

*Unrelated, but adding... this is why, IMO there'll be a tragic ending for Rishbala. Please surprise me CVs! She breaks through all the shackles, expectations and double standards of society to carve a name for herself... oh my dreams of the heroine track 😆*
