Please, Asad! Don't do that or rather don't keep doing that. Don't wake up Zoe from her lovely dream which she is getting to live, thanks to Dhurandhar. Phoophi, BCA and you yourself. Admitted, that you are not making any false promises to Zoe. Confessed that even though you are a jackass jerk , we love you for thinking that far for Zoe that you would rather sacrifice her and zip yourself instead of giving yourself a chance of harming her ( or destroying her as your childhood omens tell you). Agreed that you should marry Zoe and she should marry you for the right reasons... BUT... Just look at her glowing face and that glitter of your love on her finger. She is happy, she is in love with you even if not admittedly , she is looking forward to marrying you. Far removed from the lie that you keep rubbing into her face and your own heart - "Main ye Nikaah hargiz nahiin karoonga". Everytime, you say this, her face falls and her little heart droops in the disappointment of this forced reality.
Look at her as she bickers with you like your wife of 10 years , look at her when she keeps looking you everytime you turn back to trap her in your eyes, look at her as she holds out her little heart to you in poetry, mild flirting , naughty teasing , look at her as she looks searchingly into your face hoping that you will indeed get her a gift as the part of the Nikaah rituals and look at her as your bride.
Its not that she is delusional - she knows that even though you love her , your mind and heart are not in sync with this Nikaah. Its just that she is hoping that either these 10 days are never going to end and she is always going to be your fiancee or else you will cross the bridge and take the plunge she and even you are secretly hoping for. A plunge , a leap of faith that will make you say 'Qubool Hai' to her.
She intends to be your wife, Asad. We understand where you are and where you stand, who knows what will happen on the other side of 10 days and what twist is waiting but at least, as long as this dream is running , let Zoe live it and let her belong where she truly belongs.
With you. :-)...now, go and give her something exceptional as the gift of the bride because she is waiting.
P.S- I think you have to stick to telly bytes for the AsYa hand holding because it simply didn't fit in the screenplay at all.AsYa are not at the hand-holding -and-smouldering-eyes stage unless its a weak and tender moment that kicks their egos and takes over them 😆.
