Part 14:
"No Sameerā¦plzz aise nahiā¦..Cant we wait?"
Sameer pulled back, withdrawing his hands instantly and smacked himself for overdoing itā¦..he mentally scolded himself "what would she think?" In the spur of the moment, he was going to commit a grave mistakeā¦..
He stepped away instantly voicing an apology, "sorry Aishaā¦.main" [his voice trailed off not knowing what justification could he give for losing his self control!!]
She steadied herselfā¦..she had lost her stability herself and couldn't blame him for thatā¦..both of them were carried away by the magical romantic momentsā¦.
It was bound to happenā¦.She straightened her top and replied "its ok"

The awkwardness and the unsettling silence was becoming unbearable when Aisha decided to break bothā¦.why feel awkward and uneasyā¦.Afterall they were in love and were committed to each otherā¦.She had by now known him well enough and both knew that they were going to spend the rest of their lives together as a couple! It wasn't official but yet, yes there was a silent agreement within themselves and she knew that it was much more than a full fledged proposal!
She cleared her throat as she approached Sameer who had by then walked to the tip of the terrace and was looking into the horizonā¦.He wasn't able to meet her eyes for the first time and was feeling guilty about it!
She stood by his side for a few moments and then entwined his fingers within hersā¦..he turned to look at her while she nodded assuring himā¦..
She could see a tinge of guilt in his eyesā¦..and she didn't want that any dayā¦..
She spoke up, "nahi Sameerā¦.plz dont feel so guiltyā¦..aapne, balkhe humne kuch galat nahi kiyaā¦.aur karenge bhi nahiā¦..so its alrightā¦.ho jaatha haiā¦kabhi kabhiā¦ā¦hai na?"
She blushed and lowered her gaze from him as she said the last bitā¦ā¦He couldn't help smiling at her expressionsā¦.She looked beautiful than ever in that moon lit night!
He couldn't stop gazing at herā¦ā¦He squeezed her hand gently and cupped it within his hands, bringing it to his lips and kissed her knucklesā¦..
Then spoke upā¦."haanā¦..ho jaatha haiā¦..kyun ki tum itni khubsoorat ho ke aksar mera hosh kahi kho jaatha hai Aisha! I couldn't stop myself!"
That compliment from him felt so goodā¦
Aisha smiledā¦..their eyes locked for a long moment before he snapped out and unwillingly spoke up "ab mujhe jaana chaahiye Aishaā¦kal office mein milthe hai!"
Aisha nodded and escorted him downā¦.all along their hands were entwined with each otherā¦..
As she stepped out of the lift with him at the ground floor, he stopped her "nahiā¦.raat bohat hogayi haiā¦..baahar tak aane ki zaroorat nahi haiā¦..Go home!"
Aisha knew that it was the protective side of him speaking and not wanting her to walk through the apartment complex aloneā¦She felt nice to finally have someone care for her and get concerned for her safety!
Even though she was a cop, the woman in her always wished for a man's warm protective embrace and his affectionate and passionate love!
In Sameer, she had found everything she wished forā¦..and he truly was her solace, the ultimate love of her lifeā¦ā¦

It was a sleepless night for both heartsā¦.of course they kept wandering back to those intimate passionate moments which they would never forget all their livesā¦..
More kisses and a lot more would sure happen but the first kiss was indeed something to be cherished for a life time!
Now Sameer couldn't wait to make her rightfully hisā¦..He just couldn't stay away from her nowā¦
He decided that he would very soon propose marriage to herā¦.he only needed an apt time for thatā¦ā¦

Days rolled into weeks and weeks into almost a monthā¦ā¦
Though the ETF team had changed a bit now, days in ETF were still the sameā¦ā¦hectic as alwaysā¦..
But even amidst the hectic and complicated cases, the love struck officers found their love timeā¦ā¦be it during an instant coffee break to calm down all their brainsā¦or while dropping her off at homeā¦or at times even during long errands for a caseā¦.they found a couple minutes just for themselves!
But they were content with a silent eye lock for a long moment, or holding hands, a warm hug or a slight good night peckā¦..it only made them more happy and deeper in loveā¦.
The team had also got used to seeing the lovey dovey cute romance of the otherwise strict disciplined and steady officersā¦.
Once during a case discussion and all were busy in their worksā¦.Arjun was swirling his pen and wondering what was the missing link in the caseā¦
Shree and Sakshi were busy in their research worksā¦.Chotu was out following up on some informationā¦..
Sameer and Aisha were discussing the case fileā¦.but Arjun suddenly sensed something more than just case discussion happening between themā¦.Aisha appeared to be smiling all along and trying to gesture something to Sameer while his friend wasn't willing to agree!ā¦..and Arjun decided to find it outā¦
He purposefully dropped the pen he was swirling down on the floor and bent down to pick itā¦that's when the secret was revealedā¦..Aisha's right hand was caught in Sameer's graspā¦.She couldn't flip the pages of the file before herā¦she was having a tough time doing everything with her left handā¦..And that was exactly why Arjun sensed something strange and bent downā¦..
He chuckled seeing his serious stern friendā¦..his chief being so desperate! In fact so desperately in love with her that he was playing with her even during a case discussionā¦.
Arjun couldn't help grinning sarcastically as he enquired pretending not knowing anything at all,"Aisha, tumaare right hand ko kya hua?"
Aisha coughed not knowing what to say when Sameer held out a glass of water to her after leaving her handā¦..She took the glass with her right hand and replied to arjun,"kuch bhi toh nahi huaā¦its fine!"
Arjun nodded and he returned back to his mind process but was happy within inside for his lost friend and his lady love Aisha!

ETF day was coming up very soonā¦.yes it was going to be 1 year since ETF was formed and the team had started working togetherā¦ā¦The year had good and bad memoriesā¦.
But the reputation of the team was soaring sky high and there were no reasons not to celebrate the occasionā¦..
The whole team was excited by the whole party idea! Shree, Liza and Chotu were put into the planning committeeā¦..actually it was just assumed that they would take careā¦..
Shree didn't have a problem in doing it except that he had to bear Liza for a while nowā¦.
Liza had a galore of ideas and Shree rejected all of them saying that they were all crazy and absurd just like herā¦"tum yeh sab ideas apne shaadi mein use karnaā¦.yahaan nahiā¦ok?"
Liza would mock him saying, "haan kyun nahiā¦.tumaare shaadi mein bhi use karenge specky!"
The bickering would trigger off from there as alwaysā¦..
Thanks to the timely intervention from Chotu and Aisha, else nothing would have been put in place for the party!

Arjun was just a silent spectator to all the planning doneā¦He wasn't against it but also not in favor of itā¦ā¦According to him, parties were just a waste of time!
But then one glare from Rathod and his most favorite dialog "team mein ho toh team ke isaab se chalna seekhlo Rawte" was enough for Arjun to shake his head and shrug it off "Whatever!" and leave the room!
Finally the day arrivedā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦ā¦
It was a celebration of 1 year of ETF and also the success of itā¦..so it was organized at a grand levelā¦..A stage was also put up at the far end of the party hallā¦.if anybody wished to speak or felicitate or even entertain the crowd, then they could use the stage!
Liza was planning to dance and Shree was taunting her continuously for that while Sameer had a different plan altogether for himself and Aishaā¦..
