Who said you have to change your opinion. I didn't tell you to change your opinion to adapt to mine, I was just pointing out that some of the songs do not have gay undertones. It's only if you view it from an outside perspective it happens, but when it's viewed from the audience and makers at that time, there was nothing off about it.
Just because Nkapoor said she's never seen men holding hands in India doesn't make it true. First of all, it's not as common now in the cities because of changing cultural attitudes. But it was something that was not at all weird perhaps 15-20 years ago. What happened was that urban Indian sensibilities also changed. Stuff like Dostana, the gay gags in KHNH, they were a product of people attuned to more Western sensibilities. And those then made its way to the Indian Media, thus changing the Indian sensbilities even more.So what if people don't do that 'here?' You yourself acknowledged that it may not be weird for men to hold hands, but 'here' only gay partners do that.Well, the setting in the songs are not 'here.' If it wasn't weird in that setting, then it's not a big deal.People wanted to point out gay undertones to some stuff, and some others disagreed. That is all. You want to have your perspective, that's fine. And I'm just asserting my perspective, just as you are.
