Part 3

Next morning

Mumbai

Swayam wakes up and sees 20 missed calls from her mom but he ignores it thinking that she will again force him to marry any random girl. So he takes bath and leaves for the college.

Delhi

Sharon wakes up and goes to temple and was waiting for her Bari Maa (BM) as they used to pray together and then leave for their respective works. It's been half an hour and BM is not there yet. What happened to Bari Maa? She never gets late? She must have something important to do and she forgot to tell me about it? Well, I am going to be late if I stayed here any longer? I should pray and call her and inform her that I have left for college and will meet her in evening. Ya Sharon this is the right thing to do. She thinks that and go prays. After praying she tries calling BM but her phone was switched off. Meeting, I am sure she is in meeting. When I will meet her I am going to scold her for not letting me know about the meeting and then for turning her phone off. Thinking this Sharon drove to her college and after college finishes she goes to BM's office.

There she finds out that BM hasn't come to office as she is not feeling good. She rushes to her house and opens the door.

"Bari Maa, are you okay? What happened? Why nobody informed me about your health?" she said all that in one breathe and stopped seeing BM smiling at her. She frowned and continued "you are laughing and I am scared to death."

"Sit here, I am perfectly fine. Just had a little high BP and now after taking medicine and seeing you I am way better" she said assuring Sharon and making her sit beside her. Sharon took a deep relieving breath but was stunned to see tears in BM's eyes. "Bari Maa?" she asked with a concern tone.

"Sharon you know that I have considered you my daughter and always wanted you to be my daughter-in-law" she paused to see Sharon's reaction. Sharon blushed on listening to BM and put her strand of hairs behind her ear. While BM took a deep breath getting all the courage to continue "I talked to Swayam about it and he refused Sharon. He doesn't want to marry you and in fact he doesn't want to marry anybody." She couldn't say anything more and started weeping slowly.

Sharon felt like somebody removed earth beneath her feet. She heard her heart crushing in to pieces. Since her parents and Baray Papa died [husband of BM and father of Swayam], she is been so closed to BM. And she has been told several times that BM will make her marry her son so, somewhere she had accepted this. She had considered herself would be daughter-in-law of BM and wife of Swayam. Tears made their way out without even her knowledge.

She looked at BM who was crying silently and helplessly. No Sharon you can't do this to BM. She has always supports you in every problem of yours. You have to support her. Forget about yourself and support her. She thought and put her head in BM's lap and said "you remember you said that 'I am your daughter and no matter what I will always be your daughter then it really doesn't matter if I marry Swayam or not." She said as another pair of tears rolled down her eyes.

"You are right. You are and will always be my daughter and nothing can change that fact but …" she said this caressing her hairs and paused in order to use right words for what she was about to say.

Sharon lifted her head looking at BM and wandered why she paused. BM holds Sharon's hand and said her "…………." "What?" Sharon replied and stood up in shock. "Yes, Sharon promise me that you will do this for your BM. Please move on, I know you are hurt, but it's you who can do this please. Promise me you will move on and listen to me." She said and extended her palm for Sharon to hold it and promise her. Sharon was shocked; she didn't know what to do. She couldn't do anything but to accept what BM was saying as BM meant everything to her. She put her palm in BM's and gave her a "yes" node. There was a relief in BM's face which was got noticed by Sharon. They sat and talked for a while and after dinner BM forcefully send Sharon home so that she can rest and doesn't stay with her to take care of her entire night. Sharon didn't want to go but she knew that she needed some time alone to calm herself down so she left for her house.
