This song dedication is from Zoe to Asad, but before i launch on to them, here is a piece of writing for BCA aka Tannu.
Dear Tanveer, neither the Khans nor do we have any idea how your life was once you and your family left Bhopal. Asad only remembers his 9-10 year old adorable Tannu with whom he had a loving platonic relationship. Zoe has no idea what a witch you have turned into and how many lives you have tried to take. Asad trusts you blindly because he believes he knows you and his childhood faith in you carries on. He fights even with the love of his life just so that you don't feel any discomfiture. Zoe treats you like a sister and just look at the way she took care of you all the time and today she looked after you like a baby. Yet, you have decided to ruin these very people and their happiness just because you want to climb on them and reach the top. You are pregnant and trust me, everytime you display these cobra colours, your baby squirms in your womb. Daayan bhi saat ghar chhod detii hai, aur Asad toh phir bhi apnaa tha na? Zoe bhi tumhaari apnee banee na? ... Cannot decide if you are a bad friend, a bad mother or a cowardly devilish woman? *Confused munhh*
Now, coming to the main course of the post.
Zoe answered all your questions while answering herself in an introspective monologue. She cannot name it and she cannot pin point it due to the glass wall, but here are the home truths she drove to you and to herself.
1. That engagement ring is her most precious possession after her father's dancing couple gift. She is in love with the ring and what that ring has brought into her life.
2. She can joke about a Jhootha Nikaah but she admitted that she wants to marry Asad for real in a real Nikaah and become his wife. Asad is the manifestation of all her dreams.
3. She was surprised at herself that she didn't even once rebel against this Sagaai and she realized soon after that this is what she had wanted all along. Her heart was ready to bind her name and life with Asad's and that is why she went with the flow with so much emotion and happiness.
4. She is all set to goad Asad into buying the idea of a Jhootha Nikaah - because without even once thinking of the reality ( she escapes reality , deal with it) , she sees that as an acceptance into Asad's life forever. And deep down, she knows that Asad and she may say a zillion rubbish things , if they do go through a Nikaah - they both will keep its sanctity.
5. You may or may not agree but after today's episode , it is very transparent that Zoe would love to marry Asad, be his wife , the loved daughter-in-law of the house and have a family. Asad's white palace would become her home.
6. Yes, she is looking forward to a married life with Asad - in love with him and his OCDs , forever bickering and fighting even when they have babies. And no longer being the puppy in rain.
But...The Zoe who meets Asad everyday where he vehemently and strongly harps that he will not de-sanctify marriage by doing a Jhootha Nikaah with her , that Zoe prefers to stay behind the glass wall, abuse and pout like a brat at Asad but secretly smiles at that precious ball of light gleaming at her ring finger. She is in a schism right now - revolving doors you know as they say. A door of a beautiful married life with Asad and a door of reality which could be very ugly and heartbreaking. She is just hoping that the right door stops for her.
Until then, let the princess sleep in her fluffy white bed as Asad's love gleams on her finger and puts a dreamy smile on her face in her sleep.
Asad? Always the REALIST. He loves Zoe more than his life and he still believes that he will only bring devastation in her life - more than a childhood fear, it has become a premonition for him, a feeler from the crystal ball that looks into the future. He has to keep saying Jhoothi Sagaai, Jhootha Nikaah, Main ye Nikaah hargiz nahiin karoonga and the blah blah. He knows that IF he crosses the 'Jhootha hi sahee' barricade, he will influx Zoe's life with such an avalanche of emotions and his obtuse angles, that the girl, even though drenched in his love will never be the same again.
Its not like he is not understanding the seriousness of the situation and how far they have come or how far all this can go. That engagement ring and the twist of Dhurandhar has thrown him and Zoe on the accelerated pathway of destiny that is joining AsYa in a way that is no longer in their control. I repeat, nothing is in Asad's or Zoe's control now unless either of them takes a drastic step that destroys either one of them or maybe both of them. One thing is definite here- no matter what happens at the other side of these 10 days, Asad and Zoe are bound in a forever way now - Nikaah or no Nikaah in 10 days, any third person coming between them will be an outsider even if in a twisted way.
Its good that the creative team remembered how close Tanveer is to Asad. Don't forget , she was introduced as someone with whom Asad had extreme attachment. So, today, when she is ill, Asad's caring side comes to the fore and if you notice... Asad still related to the CHILDHOOD TANVEER and not to the adult one. Bachpan mein aisaa tha Tanveer ke saath, Use bachpan se ye pasand hai and all that jazz. Asad does NOT know Tanveer as a woman today or what she has become. So, there is no way Asad can see through her devilry but Zoe can and she is already showing signs.
I know Asad gets bashed for taking BCA's side and often losing his head on Zoe , but keeping apart your hatred for that doe-eyed beauty, do not forget that for Asad , she is still the harmless little Tannu. Someone on the outside has to show her real face to him and more importantly save him from her. And you can only bet your money on Zoe unless Dilshad shows a magnified judgment of Tannu.
No comments on Siddiquis except that Humeira looked beautiful and Shireen was hilarious. Bachpanne ki bhi had hotee hai, Badee Bi. Yaad rakhein aap - sau sunaar ki... aur finally, ek lohaar ki.
P.S- I hope the much awaited Asad and Zoe's Nikaah happens. Its Zoe's dream and Asad's release. Looking at Zoe's monologue in her bedroom, you really wish that Asad was some bungalow or piece of land that you could just buy, put on papers and press into Zoe's hands. At least, you would be confident that he will never leave her in the rain.
P.P.S- Asad puttar, abb toh aapke honne waale sasural waale bhi aa rahein hai. Zoe ki baat maanoge? Kya aapko woh so-called Jhootha Nikaah qubool hogaa?
