Palash Muchhal ‘was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers’, claims Vidnyan Mane, for allegedly cheating

Actor-producer Vidnyan Mane has made serious allegations against singer-composer Palash Muchhal, claiming the artist cheated on Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and defrauded him of over Rs 40 lakh linked to an unreleased film. Mane filed a complaint in Sangli, Maharashtra, and a copy is with HT City.

Speaking to HT, Mane, 34, said, “I was at the wedding celebrations on November 23, 2025, when he was caught red-handed with another woman in bed. Bhayanak scene tha, he was beaten up by the Indian female cricketers. The entire family is chindi chor. I thought he’d get married and settle in Sangli, but it has completely backfired on me.” Mane added that he has been friends with Smriti since childhood and was introduced to Palaash by her family.

Mane further claimed that the Muchhal family asked him to invest an additional ?10 lakh for the film, which he refused. “When I met his mother last month, she said the budget to release the movie has now increased to ?1.5 crore. They asked me for more money or I wouldn’t get any returns. They started blackmailing me and threatened to throw me out of the film, so I was forced to file a complaint,” he said.

He also alleged that repeated attempts to contact Palaash went unanswered and that other artists involved in the project had not been paid. “After the wedding was called off, the family blocked me. I had heard of directors fleecing producers, but this is complete theft. I have also received threats from the family,” Mane added, saying the film is ready but stalled. He claims to have saved chats and phone records to support his case.

Palash Muchhal responded through an Instagram story, calling the allegations “entirely baseless and factually incorrect” and said they were intended to tarnish his reputation. His lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, is reportedly exploring legal action.

The wedding between Palash and Smriti, originally scheduled for November 23, 2025, was first postponed due to family health issues and later permanently cancelled in December 2025. Both released statements confirming the wedding would not take place. Smriti asked for privacy, while Palaash described it as a difficult personal phase that he would handle with dignity.
