maybe they r showin all this to justify later, when gauri refuse to leave shiv even after she finds out tht she will die in a years time if she stays married to him. 'coz be4 she started lovin him, and then she finds out the truth, if she doesn't leave him, then tht wud be really strange and a little difficult to digest. but now if she leaves him tht wud be strange and difficult to digest.
