Episode 258 Discussion: 29th April 2013

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite. That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is

It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter. People just need to fall in a habit.
We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. It is entertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated. We do not want to feel stifled into that kind of atmosphere here.

There are several other social welfare sites that are there to discuss the genuine issues. If for some reason, it is felt that social concerns have to be addressed and ethical and moral responsibility needs to be exercised for watching entertainment, then; certainly the forum is an open place to create separate ATs and build up that kind of propaganda.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread. Strong words such as psychopaths unless used in show, need not be used to instigate riotous atmosphere or start sermonizing.

POINTERS for Writing/Posting of your reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more, it is desired you take your conversation with your buddies to alternate venues like chat clubs, pm mode etc.
Quoting Policy: It is desired that people refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis. They can pick out the parts that they like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post. It is often seen that we have to scroll through the pages when all they have done is quoting and more quoting with one line response to the actual post. IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, it is preferred that people do not quote longer posts and just extract the portions of the post that they like to respond to and if they still find it relevant to their thought process then get the entire quoted text.
Regulate the font size. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters for no special reason.
The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating/whining/complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum.
When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.

Episode 258 Discussion - EOD summary

Biwi-Pati Charade continues until Pati asks Biwi if its Prem Game-Part 2 .

Events of the Episode

RK keeps giving autograph to his fans and Madhu gets up from the table. In few minutes, RK and everyone gets to know that Madhu is dedicating a song to her Rishu, who just belongs to her and is not the Superstar RK of whom everyone is the Fan. Madhu takes him to the stage and they dance.
Sultan has come to the Pub/restaurant/bar/whatever in a red outfit, starkly different from the crowd. He is in the middle of a business deal with someone and RK is keenly looking at Sultan. He yearns for Sultan to look at him and Madhu who is appears to be dancing in all ecstacy. RK turns around Madhu to show her face to Sultan. Sultan sees all angry. Madhu makes a face tha shows as if she didn't like him seeing her. She makes a gesture of not to do anything to Sultan. Sultan sits down again. RK then turns around and shows his face, all angry. Sultan upset, gulps down alcohol and leaves the place.
Elsewhere in RK Mansion, Dips convinces Radhaji to go to Chawlplace to Padmini to make up for the bad that she must have felt when in the morning Madhu refused to go with her. Radhaji agrees and together with Sikky and Dips, they go to Chawl. Padmini and Trishna greet them inside. Radhaji starts again her apologizing to Padmini for the kind of son she has and Dips keeps looking for Padmini's cell phone. Sikky notices where it is and shows it to Dips.
In between the dance, RK reveals to Madhu that he had planned the entire evening as an answer to finish the pending business with Sultan. RK tells Madhu that he is not that bad at discerning people. He knows Sultan is a gangster and he comes everyday here at this time for business. Madhu looks upset for few seconds and yet recovers and does not say anything.
Dance ends. RK wants to leave. Madhu asks to him to wait until dinner. RK is surprised that Madhu did not get upset that he planned and he revealed about the reason. They have a conversation where it turns upon RK's fears. Madhu asks RK what is he afraid of and from whom. RK reveals that he is starting to get scared of her as it appears that she is playing Prem Game part-2. Madhu challenges him that he is one who pays, not her, to which RK responds that it appears that the hunted is actually hunting down the huntsman. MAdhu again has answer to him, why should he be afraid he has already lost himself in the game of love. He has lost himself and he has gained her heart. RK looks all perturbed at her quick answers. He seems all in disbelief and Madhu playfully suggests that he is already known to test people about how much they love him, so why not take the test. Increasingly RK is confused by all this. Episode ends.
Shoddy screenplay and editing of scenes and only saving grace was dialogues between RK and Madhu during their conversation.

RK RK RK... Prem Game 2

"Kahani kitni interesting ho jaayegi, Jab shikar khud shikari ka shikar karne pe utar jaaye"

All his sensors are up, his instincts are shouting out loud that this is a honey trap, but he will still fall into the trap.

Man, will I be heartbroken to see this man fall for Madhu's plan? You bet, I will be.

Will be back with a saner review...

RK knows that Sultan is a gangster and he knows that Sultan frequents that .. err.. restaurant? Should I be shocked that he isn't worried about his biwi was consorting with a gangster or impressed and happy, that RK hasn't lost his intelligence so much that he didn't bother to look into the "Sultan .. Mumabai ka Sultan"?

Sikky is suffering from too many slip ups when it comes to Dipali for it to be a coincidence. First he said she was giri huyi and now a bandariya? I guess, this is the best I can hope for the time being when it comes to him standing up for himself.

And Madhu is getting ready to be a heroine .. She has learned to act, and is practicing the art everyday. But for the first time I felt something weird with her bulging eyes. Madhu is telling RK he has lost his heart, but won her's .. and all I could focus on was her eyes which were so big that I felt she was trying to hypnotize him into believing her.

She was worried when she saw Sultan. For RK, I think, which is why she shook her head at Sultan, indicating to him to not to do anything. Or maybe she knew his interference would reduce the chances of her plan's success .. and hence that expression.

P.S.: That was no proper dance .. It got interrupted too times for me to enjoy.

So RK knows Sultan is a gangster, has his meetings at that very place. He digged deep to find out about Sultan and planned this date. But is still very unperturbed by the gun-toting, neck snapping profession. What's gotten into you my RK boy? If that is not enough, inspite of all your radars being up and running, catching the signals of your biwi's PREM GAME part 2, it looks like you are still going to fall in her trap.

RIP RKs intelligence.

PS: Rishbala dance? Whatever was that!!

monday is never a fun day for me 😔 therez a nonsense song also na on mondays?

anyhow, poor editing spoiled the dance..rang deeni stays my favorite bec. that's the only one instance where both their feelings were genuine..the motive of "aa zara" was Madhu's humiliation, bindiya chamkegi had RK faking.."kate nahi kat te" , again RK faking and now, Madhu faking...

forget seduction, was that a dance 😒 I didn't like it...i felt that it was forced, it was not necessary ..Madhu cud have carried on with the evening without this dance...it was not RK's plan then why?? i was not impressed with her dialogues either, any fool can understand that she's lying..then how can she fool RK? bec. he's ready to be fooled in love bec. he loves her ...this is something which I never liked in RK's prem game too..backstabbing..then how can i like Madhu for the same? bec. RK did this with her? 😔 my mind refuses to accept this convoluted logic...toh i'll stop my brainstorming here...

RK being the smart boy , knew that Sultan is coming to the ulti chatri restaurant? 😆 now that's something...he planned this evening, this gown and Madhu just to prove a point to him..I wish Bhai could witness the whole scene before reacting that it's not RK who is torturing Madhu but she's comfortably displaying PDA for her pati...reasons unknown to Madhu, Sultan and us ! the confusion continues 🥱 what's the secret behind Madhu's lie ?? BTW Sultan had no business to get jealous with the "couple" !!

I liked Radha being fooled by Dipali..somehow i like Dipali's planning, that's why...she will bring Sultan, Madhu's boyfriend in front of everyone and Madhu will be in trouble, not just from RK's side but Sultan's side too bec. perhaps Dips will convince him that Madhu is abla naari who needs Sultan's protection, RK is torturing her but she's quietly suffering etc. etc. etc. ...but since Madhu is bound to win this time, she will manage...🤔 anyhow, i liked Radha's dialogues to Padmini..Padmini must be getting sadistic pleasure in hearing these apologies (you wait and watch Radha, here comes my sanskari beti ) ... i wish Radha was half as convincing with RK as she is with Padmini...but it's certainly not her fault since she never had the right to exercise that control on her son..yet she tried her best..

Precap : sabak no . 1 to RK...suicide or threat to suicide doesn't prove your love ! 🥺

In RK's words, build-up build-up build-up... and then CRASH

Was that a dance? 🤢 Was it necessary to break the restaurant scene thrice to show Deepali's saazish? Ever heard of smooth flow of narrative, Mr. Editor?

The only good part was the last five minutes of RK-Madhu conversation. RK is asking straight questions, Madhu is giving smart answers which only serves to heighten his suspicions. Build-up for tomorrow. Hope it is not another crash 😡

I knew it. I knew the dance was going to be murdered ..the way they were promoting it😆. Interrupted constantly by Sikky and Dipali, and then Sultan. Saare k saare kabab ko lekar dance karne chale😆. It was not a seductive dance by any standards, it was actually quite aggressive.

What did I like:

I like it that they're talking to each other about the prem game..
I like it that RK told her the whole evening was planned and she was'nt taken aback. In fact, it was like she almost expected it from him. And from the looks of it, it actually helps her to drive her point home. Love cannot be proved. and definitely not again and again and again So she tells him, " it's easy for you, take a love test". She is almost daring him to take a test, and he does, so he does fall into her trap. Of teaching him a lesson..
Madhu's expression...does anybody agree with me, she was telling Sultan not to interfere. At some point will she get annoyed with him or not???
RK indicates to Madhu that Sultan is a gangster and he does his dhanda at restaurants like this. She had forgotten, it was necessary to remind her😆

Did not like:

RK again trying to bait Madhu with Sultan...this time he will learn something, I hope
Sultan again 'trying to help'... Before she saw him, Madhu was looking quite happy.He pretended not to notice or he presumed she was being forced.
What the connection between Madhu's jhoot wala dialogue and the dance?? She's lying to RK? I mean, I genuinely did not get it , why was Sultan inspired to go and help her?? Can someone explain? I must have missed something huge there (I am not being sarky...really, I was flummoxed by Sultan)

Am looking forward to:

This track because there is a huge storm coming up ahead. I am really intrigued. What is Madhu planning to do? What is Sultan planning to do, SUltan and DIpali ganging up? Serves both RK and MAdhu...both in their own world of revenge and fake love/true love, fail to notice what other people are planning.

Will RK remain in control..or for once will Madhu get the better of him? Tomorrow is a big day for him. Will he believe her after this and will she then be able to continue with her plan? She could turn around much later and say..(.just like he did)...that it was a risk worth taking just to make him a fool in love? Her desire to make him suffer in love could override everything else.

ETA- BTW, Filmstar dancing at public places is not surprising. AB JR regularly jumps onto tables and dances at pubs. Have heard of it at least twice.

So RK knows that Sultan is a Gangster and has been able to keep track of his activities. I guess, now that ends with this terrace drama episode, as then he might no longer need to keep track of Sultan.
Madhu called RK as Rishu in front of everyone. She gives her answer to his swagger of Superstar. 😆 She is not fan of the Superstar but fan of Rishu. Can I construe here that Madhu with that dedication, dance, declaration before everyone has publically shown something to the world, that when later spurned will cause Public Disrepute to RK ? I will have to wait.
Sultan started drinking Sharaab. Gentleman has started becoming RK by gulping down drink like RK where as RK is drinking water. 🤣
Madhu gives such "painful" looks to Sultan to not do anything. So what else do we want. Madhu is painting RK as villain in Sultan's eyes and RK is giving evil looks to Sultan. Both husband and wife together are conning Sultan and making him go mad and forget the reason why he was originally there in the bar for. Looks like Mala Sinha's Aankhen Movie. What a con movie it was back then in 60's 🤣

Prem-Game Part -2 Khulasa.

So guys this is how it looks.

RK is out there to catch Madhu. RK declares he planned.

Madhu remains elusive to the end.

Madhu does not mind the game. She says, Let's Play each other.

Interesting Dialogues to support that.

Madhu to RK : Dar hai andar ? Kisse Se ? Kis Baat ka ?

RK answers to Madhu : Pyaar junoon banta dikhe, to pyaar dene waale ko aur pyaar lene waale ko dono ko hi darna chaahiye. One who was ready to leave me until yesterday, today she loves me so much. Have you started Prem Game Part-2 ?

Lesson 1 of the Day from Madhu to RK

You love me even if you don't say it. You hide a lot because you are the Superstar, but there is someone who has been able to enter the inner side of RK the Superstar.

Madhu's line to RK

"Dil haar chuke ho.Badle mein mera Dil bhi jeet liya hai"

He is not denying it

He is scared not because he doubts whether he loves or not. He is scared that he does not know if Madhu loves him truly. So can he really trust her ? How can one know ? May be one knows only through losing oneself to love...the lesson of the day..

Lesson 2 of the Day from Madhu to RK

You Play games, not me.

Madhu's line to RK

"Tum Khiladi Main Anandi"

And RK does not deny it.

But he is scared that Madhu is becoming the Khiladi and he might be the Anaadi

Shikaar khud shikaari ka Shikaar karne aaya hai

Phir to pyaar ka khel khel rahi hoon main, pyaar ka naatak kar rahi hoon

So how does he cut through illusion ? May be by immersing himself with her game...lesson of the day...

Lesson 3 : Madhu suggesting RK to test her love. Will RK fall for that ? Seems he falls for it. Another lesson in the offing for tomorrow.

Rest of the episode - Dips drama - Filler.

Radhaji asking forgiveness to Padmini - Can anything be salvaged from this filler drama ? Can Padmini start seeing that RK is also son of another human being and not a demon to be be called a Rakshas and Jaanwar. At least can he be called a Homo Sapien ? I am just voicing against name-calling. Nothing much otherwise...

Movie Title : Main Khilaadi Tu Anaadi

I don't know whether it was the videos I watched...but there was a disconnected feel in the screenplay. Should go for other videos.

The episode was quite suspenseful.. Prem-Game part II begins!!!!

Shikari shikar banne ja raha hai!!

Did anyone feel the dance was edited? I felt there were a few steps more in the segment... Is it coz we all were mocking Madhu's sanskaars... May be am giving us too much self-importance? Koi nahi... RK ka influence toy aana hi hai...

Dipali upto her usual old tricks... Sikky is becoming smarter by the day... Way to go!!!

Radha, the poor helpless mother... Why did I feel Trish was a lil moved by her words? May be I imagined it...

Padmini would have been thinking in her mind, " Ab band bajayegi aapke bete ka meri beti"

RK-Madhu: Madhu is playing it very smart... But RK does sense the change and asked her honestly... He just brought her there to show to Sultan that Madhu is his... I quite liked the inter-play of dialogues at the end between RK and Madhu...

Jab pyar junoon mein badalta hai toh , pyar denewale aur pyar lenewale donon ko darr hona chahiye...

Kahani kitni interesting hogi jab shikar khud shikari ka shikar karne par utar jaaye toh

Madhu's answers managed to bewilder him and confuse him... Am sure his mind would have thought ah! here comes another challenge...figure it out!!!!

Is he going to fall for the trap genuinely and get fooled or fall knowingly into the trap understanding her firm resolve? Dekhne ke liye watch MEIEJ!!!!
