QT,I consider myself to be one of the fortunate ones who knows to differentiate an "ACTOR" from the "PERSON per se"....

I love the "Actor" Aamir Khan,I think after AB,he's the best actor,so versatile,so natural and his acting seems so effortless...!!..He raised the bar with his Oscar Nominated Lagaan..Totally admire his histrionic skills!!.I truly an enamoured of his acting style I find Aamir to be a flawless actor

I admire some qualities in the "Person" Aamir, his stand against the award shows which are mostly rigged 🤢 and arent credible(How else would you explain a mediocre movie like KANK being nominated under the best movie category, whereas much much better movies like "Dor" and "Corporate" dont make it to the nominations?????),I like his guts, the way he keeps reinventing himself without being typecast like SRK!..He doesnt always stick to stereotypical movies which invariably work, nor is he stuck in a rut..He neither plays to the gallery, nor hobnobs the ones who weild clout for roles..I like these qualities in the "PERSON" Aamir, but there are several other traits which I despise(His elephantine ego being one).....

So am I inspired by the "ACTOR" Aamir❓🤔..An Actor's job is to act,and if I have to be inspired by the "actor",I need to be inspired by thew work he does..i.e. acting.....Well,the question could be rephrased like"Do I get inspired by the work he does and the roles he portrays"....YES,I do!!...Not only Aamir, but other actors too😊...I was inspired by the rabble rousing movie RBD,and Aamir's character DJ....😊...Lage Raho Munnabhai was quite inspiring,it brought back Gandhian principles and How!!....So I can safely say I was inspired by the "ACTOR" Sanjay Dutt....But I dont think I'm inspired by the "PERSON" Sanjay after his getting embroiled in all sorts of controversies

I dont think the premise of this thread was to question whether we get inspired by the "roles" actors play in movies,Its whether we get inspired by "ACTORS" as "PERSONS" and not as the image they project on celluloid!!

I concur. So you are inspired by their job well-done. and since their job = acting, they are actors. you are also inspired by the good human within them. I love your comments and am happy to be on the same side of the argument. 😆😆

I never get motivated by actors because there real life is unfamiliar to me and I don't really take yellow journalism as authentic information. But I do sometimes get affected by characters played by these actors. 😳

I agree. How would you know a persons character just by reading about him/her. Character is a very deep issue which involves several layers of a persons personality. Psycologists have numerous tests one needs to take in order to find out what a person is REALLY like. It is hard to understand a persons character even after living with them for years. The "real person" has several variables that influences his personality. It is almost like layers that need to peeled. Therefore saying that we are motivated by this PERSON and not ACTOR has to be substantially be supported with the fact that you have know him very well or else the motivations would be based on superficial knowledge which is really not credential. At that point we could conclude that the ACTOR was the motivator not the PERSON.
