Interesting article...CE might tell whether the masala genre is over or not...having said that it totally depends on the content of the movie...

Too much masala or masala not in the right proportion will spoil the dish...

I like Masala movies but they have to be well made and have a story. Masala does not mean mindless- it means exciting, fun, interesting, thrill, no stress khao pio masti karo type films but not mindless! Masala wala food is good but not any mix of masala is good - mix has to be good for the food to be palatable and enjoyable :-)

Yes but you can't do away from masala completely. It will be bland then. 😃

No. It provides time pass entertainment without high thoughts and much emotional drama. I would love to see that for refreshment and just for enjoyment and i guess so do people

Maybe it won't bathe no. 1 Genre but it will never die down

Like ten years ago nri love stories ruled the roost but not anymore . But they still exist ( JTHJ , cocktail )

Personally don't understand why any genre of film needs to be eliminated . If anything Films like Sorry Bhai need to be eliminated . I recall Once i was sleepin at my boy waleed iqbals house and he put this film on and I couldn't follow W*F was happening . This dude who was the guy from 3 idiots and Style I think Harman joshi . He fell in love with his brothers wife . This other dude was gay and caught aids . I didn't understand what was happening until i realized I was watching 2 different films . My brother nikhil and sorry bhai both sucked and were innapropriate .

Ban those films
