But CVs recent dhamaka - Taani has no career plans, nor does she have any interest in life other than Rey. Her designation - Rey's wife. How to express my thoughts on this? It is quite difficult. But let me try! I am mystified, astonished at the CVs and the route that they are taking for Taani. As a hardcore Taani fan I feel cheated by the writers. Yes, she is their creation and they will choose her path. But the question I ask is, why ridicule and belittle Taani?
Why are the writers NOW hell bent on showing Taani as a weak, vulnerable and confused individual? What irks me is how she is being shown as an inferior being in comparison to other characters, who are developing positively. Look, I admire Taani's love for Rey. There is great depth in her love which I appreciate. But do I want her life to begin and end on Rey? Hell no!
Let us look at Rey. He HAS a life other than Taani and he has made that pretty obvious in recent episodes especially. He has an intense passion for dance which quite frankly, is his very first love. He has places to go and envisions a better future. Yes he loves Taani and wants to spend the rest of his life with her. Recent epis are a testament to that. But he does not want to lose his identity - so then why show Taani as one who doesn't wish to a carve an identity of her own?
What I will acknowledge is that there are many girls in reality also who like Taani, want to marry the man that they love and settle down. That is their sole purpose. I do not look down at that, I assure you :) So what we are seeing is not something far from reality. However, I didn't want the CVs to do this with my dear Taani! And this is precisely why I was quite upset with her dialogues in the rehearsal hall. As a fan, I want Taani to establish herself and for her to become a woman of great strength and character. I LOVE her love for Rey. But winning over Rey shouldn't mean that she loses herself.
Come on, Taani. Embrace life and start dreaming of bigger and better things for yourself. And learn to love yourself aswell :)
